Very recent full restoration starting with a Very rust free well cared for Scout II. Very nice paint, body was nearly completely stripped of paint and all trouble areas were inspected for corrosion before bodywork was completed. This body was in AMAZING shape, the inside of the doors were like factory new, rockers and wheel wells were super solid. we found two pinholes in the rockers and it needed 2- 4" x 4" patch panels under the carpet area behind the drivers seat on the floor pan (common problem area where the rubber mat and jute padding trap moisture) all new weatherstripping was installed. The interior was sprayed with smoke gray Raptor bed-liner, this should solve any future rust issues inside and make it so you can wash it out with a hose. The original seats were reupholstered in a light gray with body color piping so they won't be hot on those topless summer drives in the sun. The gauges all work and have had the plastic lenses replaced with glass. the dash has a new molded cover installed. also the inside of the top has been coated with white Raptor bed liner. A brand new wood grain 3 spoke steering wheel was installed. On the drive-train we found a local that had a truck with low miles on a rebuilt 392 V8 , we did pull all the tins and install fresh gaskets. it is super clean inside and appears to be in great shape. all new hoses were installed and a Holley 600 cfm carb with manual Choke was used. Next we replaced the points with a Pertronix conversion. It starts easily and runs out great. For the exhaust we used a 2 in and 1 out welded muffler that exits behind the drivers rear tire, it gives a mellow low growl but is not obnoxious or loud, The perfect rumble!Suspension is a mild rough country 2.5" spring lift with new shocks. and the tires are brand new 285-75-16 all terrains that measure right at 32" tall. they tuck nicely under the fenders and clear well. the whole underside has been steam cleaned and undercoated for a fresh appearance. All lights, gauges, horns, wipers & Washers, heater, window cranks, parking brake, turns signals and turn signal canceling are working, there is no radio installed but the dash has NOT been cut from factory so you can make your own choice as what direction to go there. We did have a International Blue diamond logo magnet printed to cover the radio hole in the meanwhile (when the exhaust sounds so good who needs a radio?) The antenna and wiring are there and tucked away in the RH cowl. The factory wiring harness and fuse panel are in great shape and no one has hacked it up. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
