1967 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback restored to a Daily Driver condition. Had a lot of interest in my last listing but never got the offer I was looking for. I decided to re-list it as an auction with a reserve and drop the buy-it-now price! Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I currently live in California so it is stored with my family currently. First owner garaged for 20 years without driving. I am the second owner of this vehicle, restored it myself and have kept it garaged since restoring. It was a daily driver for a few years and now is driven for fun on the weekends and to keep things running smoothly.Vehicle Information: Manufactured San Jose California December 20, 1966. 73,302 miles (original engine, original miles, few replaced parts see below). Original color was Sauterne Gold Metallic. Original matching numbers. Original black vinyl interior has a few tears at seams on the back seat and a few cracks on dash plastic panels, otherwise great shape. Original 289 small block Windsor V8 engine. Original automatic transmission. Things that I had done:- New starter solenoid in 2019 - New Edelbrock carburetor in 2009- New dual exhaust from headers all the way back (kept original headers) in 2009 (very loud)- Some electrical wiring replaced as needed with trickle charger for while it's parked- New Krager SS wheels in 2008, staggered- New paint job in 2008 - Acapulco blue with white stripes - kept to original color options- New power steering and power brakes installed in 2008- Added a Pioneer stereo head unit and rear speakers, alarm and locking gas cap in 2009.If you wanted to work on the car these are some of the things that need updating: - Deep cleaning engine and other mechanical pieces- replace or bend out dent on front bumper (chrome piece has dent in center)- new chrome accents/letters (rocker panels, fender/hood/trunk lettering that I never got around to doing, would be cheap to order parts)- some cracking on original rear seats at center seam and top of seats as well as front dash plastic panels- rear driver side quarter panel has scrape by trunk (paint only, body panel is straight)- along doors there are a few small paint chips only noticeable up close- around gas cap there are some hairline cracks in paint that can be seen up close at the right angle or right light but they have not seemed to affect the paint peeling or anything further. Common questions:Do you have a Marti Report?- No, I never bought one.Can I get some pictures of the underside and trunk?- Included them in the ad this time, please let me know if there are other pictures you would like to see.Do you know of any rust issues? Body or minor rust? Etc.- When we painted there was no body rust, we did not replace any of the panels, just primed and painted. You can see some small imperfections in the hood center line or along door panels but we wanted to keep the originals.- Undercarriage is mostly clean, it needs a deep cleaning but please look at the pictures closely (although they aren't the best pictures so apologies for that)- There are a few spots that are difficult to tell around the front suspension (control arms area) where I couldn't tell if surface rust or dirty, since I am not with the car I haven't been able to check myself. What happened to the trunk?- It is the original deck lid and when we painted we put new weatherstripping around it. The original owner had adjusted the hinges so it would shut with the original 40year old weather stripping (which was basically non-existent) so when we put the new rubber on it became mis-aligned and sticks up about 1/4". From my research this is a simple fix to align the hinges again. I have not tried to do it but think it could be fixed quickly. What happened to the A/C?I am not sure exactly, it was missing when I bought the car. Car has all the control switches and vents, but never looked into adding it back in. Was on my list that never got to.Runs great as it is with room to make better, if you want a show car this is the perfect starter project!Overall the car is in really good shape, and while it is nice as it is, there is lots you could pick through and replace to have like new. I planned on doing this over the years as I got around to it, to replace interior parts, clean up engine parts, all new wiring, etc. These all work as is but would look much better new. I just never got around to them and was happy where it is at and never needed to replace them. Serious inquiries only, please review pictures thoroughly as car is sold as-is.Shipping is the expense of the buyer. It is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange and schedule shipping company and inform me what the plan is. Either myself or my Mom&Brother can work with the shipping company in person to ensure a timely pickup. I will provide you with pictures of the vehicle as it leaves my possession. The moment the shipping company arrives to pick up the vehicle, it is no longer in my possession. Any potential damage to the vehicle while being loaded, transported, or unloaded is between the buyer and the shipping company. The vehicle can stay in my possession while shipping is arranged. A payment of $1000 (non-refundable) must be made within 48 hours of purchase. If deposit is not received in 48 hours, I will offer the second highest offer the opportunity to purchase the car if they are above the reserve price. Once payment is received in full, the vehicle’s title will be sent overnight with tracking for your security. I would prefer a wire transfer for payment however if you would like to look at the car in person or pick-up yourself a cashier's check delivered and deposited in person would be considered! Under no circumstances will the car or title be released until full payment is received and verified.PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WANT TO DISCUSS DETAILS OF PAYMENT/PICKUP.
