The quality here is simply amazing. We were recently offered the opportunity to purchase this car along with our beautiful BJ8 Healey from the same longtime owner/collector. We are very pleased to be ithe current caretakers of both.One family ownership from new. 7 thousand original miles. Never hurt and lovingly cared for. Nothing but the best components in the build. If you are looking for that crappy one your neighbor has with the wavy sides, vinyl interior and cheap chrome wheels with a 302 and an automatic in it keep looking this is not your car. Sorry, sometimes I just can't stop myself with my big mouth. This thing is AWESOME.Ok, Ok lets talk the build- Lets start in 2005 with a Superformance Mark3 S/C body, then lets add the following- A Roush 427R Performance Engine that makes 544 horsepower and generates 517 ft pounds of torque. Yep, we know the plaque and the literature say 550/535 and that's all fine and good- we have the Dyno Sheets. Case Closed. Now, I know what you're thinking, if some mutt assembles the car what good is the horsepower? Well, quiet your fears. Olthoff Racing is one of the most respected Superformance builders in the country and that's where this beauty was built. Look them up, they are in North Carolina where men are men and they know how to build race cars.Sorry in advance but this paragraph is a build download of equipment- Tremec TKO 600 - 64 Overdrive transmission, roadster bumpers, ceramic exhaust in silver, shoulder harnesses with anti-submarine belts, chrome fire extinguisher, stone guard tape, cutoff switch, mats, car cover, radiator and oil cooler guard, aluminum bellhousing, full width roll bar in chrome, accusump oiling system, short shifter with Olthoff aluminum ball, MSD Ignition, braided line kit, custom air cleaner, NOTHING BUT THE BEST COMPONENTS.The car is stunning in condition. You can easily see its been loved its entire life. We removed the stone guard on the nose only because it had yellowed. The paint underneath is perfect.Ok if I haven't piqued your interest yet let's talk test drive. Key on, check. Starter engaged, check. Big ass smile from the big ass rumble- check. Snick it into first and away you go allowing the brute to warm just a bit. As a get acquainted drive let wait till we hit second and then give her a little goose- instant power, instant tire spin, instant tail moving sideways. Yowsa what an experience. If you haven't tried it be careful two things are gonna happen- you are not going to stop smiling and if you get too carried away you may need to change your drawers.
