This is an unrestored,long-term ownership, unmodified (see below re engine and trans), straight,never-wrecked TR3 in excellent interior and exterior condition. The pictures show it’scondition during the recent “recommissioning”, which included: Rebuilt mastercylinders. Rebuilt carb and fuel pump. All fuel system hose has been replaced. Fueltank and hard fuel lines have been flushed. Engine has been tuned, includingnew spark plugs, plug wires, points, and condenser. Timing and point gap set tofactory specs. All fluids have been changed. Brakes and parking brake adjusted. All grease fittings greased. Front wheel bearings greased. It’s been in the samefamily since 1971. Stored indoors in Arizona for the last 30 years or so. Notdriven since approximately 1990.Serial numberTS68391L. The transmission is afull-synchro version from a TR4. Shift lever is the longer TR4 version, but 2short TR3 shift levers are included.Although it’s unrestored,it was repainted long ago after de-rusting the rocker panels. You can seeoverspray in the wheel wells. (Dang). Paint and gaps are very good. Grille andbumpers are dent-free. Chrome is unblemished. Fender welts have no dents. (Aset of new front fender welts, still in their 1970’s original packaging, isincluded.)The interior trim has allbeen replaced. Wool carpets, probably from English sheep. Seats have leatherseating surfaces (Connolly Leather, I believe) and correct white piping. Factoryside curtains, purchased new in 1972, with no visible wear or deterioration. Includes top andtonneau cover, both in good condition.Vintage Amco luggagerack, with no rust, is mounted on the trunk. No known accidentdamage during the last 47 years of ownership, and no evidence of damage beforethat.Three small spots ofthrough-rust, visible only from under the car. Each about quarter-sized. Adealer would call this “rust free”.I believe the pistonsand liners were changed to 86mm (2138cc displacement) during a rebuild in the1970’s. Between the transmission and the displacement, this is the same spec asthe later TR3B.Accessory drive beltand radiator hoses are good or new, and new spares are included. Most of the otherrubber parts are suspect just from sitting for decades. However, criticalsafety items (including master cylinders) have just been rebuilt or replacedwithin the last three months. Unknown mileage, butodometer shows 100,xxx.No overdrive. Steeldisk wheels, not wire wheels. No tool kit, but original style jack, jackratchet handle, and lug wrench are included.Presents as a 10 yearold, well maintained, regularly driven car.Includes many spares inaddition to those listed above: a seized block with the factory painted "TR3" marking on the side Factory aluminum oil pan purchased from a dfealer in 1972 (although you can’t tell it froma repop). Spare TR3 transmission and steel trans cover. Spare set of window frames. Many exterior engine parts (exterior to the engine, not to the car). CompleteTR4A front suspension arm set (adjustable camber, a few degrees caster, and strongerupright) in case you’re a resto-mod kind of person. And a TR4A intake manifoldand two HS6 carbs ditto. Complete extra interior kit, sans carpet. And some otherstuff. You MUST take these parts with purchase of the car, or the price will goup. The car is stored inFountain Hills AZ and is available for inspection at any time.
