CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1953 MG TD.Light yellow paint, green interior and grille, tan top and tonneau. Steel wheels, not wires.Restored in 1984. Driven for approximately 10 miles immediately after restoration; not driven since.By "restoration", I mean that it was disassembled down to the last nut and bolt, and every piece was cleaned, polished, replaced (better resto parts were available then), painted, plated, straightened, or otherwise massaged back to original condition before reassembly. The restoration was performed by a knowledgeable, skilled owner, who was passionate about maintaining originality. Commercial restoration to this level would not have been economically practical.Always stored inside since restoration, either in Colorado or Arizona. Covered most of the time. It's dusty and dull, though.Complete and authentic; no modifications from original whatsoever. No rust, no crash damage. Photos show some cracked paint on one front fender, worn paint on cowl and underhood tool box, and discoloration on the left running board (rust spots after all?). Otherwise, paint looks like a brand-new 30-year old paint job.Ran when parked, as they say, but that was 30 years ago and the engine has not turned over since. Although I don't want to start it before a thorough checkup, you are welcome to turn the engine over by hand, remove the value cover to observe valve action, look in the radiator, feel the belts and hoses, hear the electric fuel pump clicking, shift through the gears, press the clutch and brake pedals, and see the carb linkage working. Some documentation is included, including receipts for restoration work and the prior owner's name.A small collection of takeoffs and spares is included. You are also welcome to take -- for free -- some takeoffs I'm trying to get rid of from other cars , including AC 428 Frua Coupe, AC Cobra, and Triumph.Contact Scott at 303-883-9085 with questions or to arrange viewing. The car is located in Fountain Hills, northwest of Scottsdale.I do not need help selling this car. If you (or one of your minions) call me with an offer to help me sell this car, I will visciously attack your lack of integrtity, poor job seeking skills, sketchy work history, inability to pass a drug test, and whether you should be allowed to have children. Do not call me with offers of assistance.
