I have OVER 300 PICTURES of this car. See below...1971 Dodge Challenger for sale. Originally 318 equipped, currently has a 340. Console automatic, Rallye dash, power steering, and factory A/C. This is an original EV2 "Hemi Orange" car. This car sat for at least a decade before I purchased it. I have done some basics to it and it now starts, runs, drives and stops. It's a good start, but it needs some more love before I'd call it daily-driver material. It's 48 years old, unrestored, and absolutely not perfect. It's also not 25, 35 or 45 thousand dollars. I have replaced the transmission mount, rebuilt the carb, installed new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, changed the oil and filter, installed a new fuel filter, had the radiator boiled and repaired, installed a new shroud, dropped and flushed the fuel tank, and I installed a new sender and filler grommet. It starts right up when cold... and while it's definitely not a speed demon, it does run pretty well. Some things don't work. The HVAC switch will need to be replaced - buttons are stuck. Speedo is noisy. All the A/C stuff is present but unsure if it works. Horn, lights, fuel gauge, temp gauge all work... The best attribute of the car is its body. This car spent most of its life in California and Colorado, and as such is a dry western vehicle overall. However, the trunk floor was pretty rough, as were the lower quarters behind the wheel well. So I replaced the trunk floor, the lower quarters on both sides, and the outer wheel house and trunk dropoff on the passenger's side, all with with brand new sheet metal. I also matched the paint to what is there as properly as possible. The car is now a 96% rust-free vehicle. This is a great foundation for a hot rod, race car or G3 Hemi swap or resto-mod. Or even a restoration that doesn't require much rust repair. You can do what you want with this one without worrying about matching numbers. With that in mind, I haven't replaced things like tires, shocks, suspension bushings, etc, because I am sure the new owner will want to make those decisions themselves. Hotchkis, AlterKtion, etc.. If not it will need tires and control arm bushings right away...Paint is typical 25 or 35-year old repaint. I put a dash cap on but didn't glue it down. There is some light hail damage on the hood and tops of fenders. So light it cannot be photographed, and hard to see otherwise, but its there. Easy fix via skim coat or PDR. Overall, this is a very solid start for someone, and a project you can drive while working on.****************************I have over 300 PICTURES of this car - every square inch of it.
