You’ll find a 289 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a 4BBL carburetor, and Pentonix electronic ignition with automatic transmission. You’ll also find a freshly upgraded Autometer gauge cluster, custom racing seats, American Racing wheels and a new soft top- NOTE: The current owner has the original gauge cluster and original front bucket seats as well, which will be sold with the vehicle. See attached photos.Fully Restored in Recent Years to Very High LevelsThe current owner informs us that this 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible was purchased at an auction in Texas back in 2013 shortly after being restored to its present condition. The current owner did add the racing seats and new Autometer gauges, but otherwise we do not have any documentation of maintenance or recent restoration prior to 2013.What we can tell you is that this 1966 Mustang Convertible is nicely sorted throughout with only minimal levels of wear to the exterior. The paint has a nice shine and everything aligns correctly- the chrome work and trim show a few very minor scratches but nothing at all to detract from this gorgeous muscle car. The interior is definitely a step above the typical driver’s standard as well with well-maintained seats, carpeting and center console. As previously mentioned, all the autometer gauges are all new so this one really doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed right away.Additionally, this 1966 Ford Mustang Roadster has excellent performance on the open road with solid acceleration, smooth handling and sufficient stopping power. The engine compartment is just as clean as the rest of this vehicle as well.An Incredible Value at the Current Asking PriceOverall, this 1966 Ford Mustang 2 Door Convertible is a fantastic high end driver that can be enjoyed at shows on weekends and really shown off. With a strong engine and great overall performance, you’d be hard pressed to find a more impressive example anywhere at the current asking price.
