| What we have here is a 1947 Mercury convertible. It was an old custom that had shaved door handles and an early hemi. The floors and trunk were pretty bad and the gas tank was full of dirt. The motor and transmission were long gone, but it came with a ton of parts. I started working on it slowly but velocity increased and after some years here we are running and driving today. Perfect car for ice cream on Sunday afternoons. Cars runs great and has a very smooth ride. Here is what has been done:Completely rebuilt 8BA flathead to stock specificationsPowermaster alternator and 12 volt electrical systemLED conversion on headlightsCompletely rewired with everything working as it shouldRebuilt Ford 3 speed transmissionNew factory Ford clutchComplete rewiring from bumper to bumper with modern fusesRebuilt brakes, new brake lines, and updated suspensionDrop axle by Andy KohlerReversed main leaf front and rearHydro dipped dash and garnish moldings to wood grainNew converted Autometer gauges - all working!New TANKS fuel tank and fuel linesNew radiatorFactory 15 x 5 inch wheels painted and double pin stripedNew interior with factory front and rear seatsNew windshieldAll door risers and glass are in great conditionDoor and trunk handles work as they shouldCowl vent is stock and operationalFactory floors were cut out of a 2 door sedan and welded in, and a new reproduction trunk floor was welded in as well.Rear fenders were repaired of rust on bottom front edgesHere is what is still missing:Paint jobConvertible topA driver.In addition to the car you get a ton of the extra parts (bring a U Haul truck) including front and rear fenders, trim trim and trim etc etc. Contact me for more photos or any questions you might have.
