This low option, lightweight Z was driven sparingly by its 4 owners until we acquired it in December. According to history that we have from a previous owner, the car received a repaint in its original color code 64, silver in 1989 and was always garage kept since and driven sparingly. It looks to have most, if not all of its original sheet metal. This car is a time capsule, retaining its factory low options status and doesn't look to have ever been modified beyond stock. The VIN matching, CLK engine suffix and correct date code L82 350CI small block chevy engine still wears all of its major components as well as rare original air cleaner assembly. The carburetor has been replaced with a later date coded, but correct Rochester Quadrajet. The Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission has consistent date code to go along with the assembly date of the car, but does not have a visible VIN stamp that we could find. The 10 bold posi rear end is also date code correct and coded with a 3.73:1 Detroit Gear and Axle carrier consistent with the special order documentation we have on the car. Body and paint are in remarkable condition considering the repaint was 31 years ago. There is no rust and very minor wear noticeable on the car. Original floors still show the factory red-oxide primer and the undercarriage is amazingly clean, detailed and original looking. Interior looks to be all original and in amazing condition as well. Factory trunk mat, spare tire (new tire installed), jack and other tools are all still in place in the super clean and rust free trunk. This car shows absolutely none of the rust issues typically evident in these 2nd generation F-body cars. These cars are getting more and more difficult to find in unmolested condition like this one. A car in this condition is a solid investment and asking price is far below what these cars are currently trading for at auction.WE WILL INCLUDE FREE ENCLOSED TRANSPORT TO ANYWHERE IN THE LOWER 48 UNITED STATES IF PURCHASED AT BUY IT NOW PRICE!!!Some additional details:VIN 5th digit: T= L82 350 (Z28 Only)VIN 7th digit: N= Norwood, Ohio assembly plantCowl Tag: Trim: 775 = Black Vinyl, Standard interiorCowl Tag: Paint: 64 = Silver (Upper and Lower color)Cowl Tag: Assembly Date = 04C, Third week of AprilCowl Tag: Z28 with no additional code = Stripe Delete, RPO Z28 - (ZR8 (White) or YF8 (Black) would have designated stripes)Engine Stamp, Partial VIN: 13N167375Engine Stamp, Engine Code: V0418CLK (Flint Engine Plant, April 18 build), CLK (L82, Automatic) engine suffixTransmission Date Stamp: 73Y-473 (1973 Model Year (Julian Date = April 17 build)) - No VIN Stamp, may have been replaced, but correct TH400Rear end stamp: CG G109 1 G (3:73:1, Detroit Gear and Axle, April 19 build, Chevrolet G&A Posi traction carrier)Additional high resolution pictures here: Walk around video here: We encourage personal and/or third party inspections.
