What a FABULOUS 1957 NOMAD WAGONShe is really just a great looking and true example of the VERY FAMOUS NOMAD WAGON built by General Motors and Chevrolet in the mid fifties. Although the Nomad was built into the early sixties, collectors usually only refer to the NOMAD as being built between 1955 1956 and 1957!! These are the two door NOMADS that have such majestic beautiful flowing lines!!! The NOMAD was first introduced as a Chevrolet Concept car in 1954. This was an EXTRAORDINARY VEHICLE WITH THE FRONT END OF A 1954 CORVETTE AND THE BACK HALF OF what was to become the SIGNATURE SLANTED B PILLAR OF THE SPORTY NOMAD!!! These Nomads were made in very small numbers as opposed to the other Chevrolet's of the day!!All Nomads between 1955 and 1957 were the lowest number produced in any of those years from Chevrolet. In 1955 Chevrolet produced a total of 1,775,992 Cars and only (8386) NOMADS, in 1956 a total of 1,623,376 Cars and only (7886) NOMADS, AND IN 19571,555,316 WITH JUST (6103) NOMADS BUILT!So as one can see these are very collectible and cherished as one of if not the most desirable of all the TRI 5 CHEVROLET'S!!!! With 4,954,684Chevrolet's built within these years and only a total of 22,375 NOMADS that means that less than half of 1% percent were of these drop dead gorgeous NOMAD WAGONS over the three year build!!And THIS ONE IS A VERY FINE EXAMPLE!!We took her in on trade toward the purchase of a 1970 L78 4 speed Nova. The owner told us he spent over 50 grand on the restoration of her and she looks the part. She has brand new Base Coat Clear Coat Matador Red Paint over what appears to be a rust free body, ALL new Weather Stripping Etc. In the pictures ahead you can what appears to be a good deal of her original RED OXIDE paint on her underside! Her famous 283 cubic inch Motor was pulled and renewed. The previous owner also spent over ($10,000) on all new CHROME, STAINLESS, GRILLE and LITERALLY ANY PIECE OF HER EXTERIOR!!! She also was treated to a COMPLETELY NEW INTERIOR THAT IS STUNNING IN ALL AREAS!!! She runs and drives like a new 1957 NOMAD should, with no known issues. All in all this is just a superb example of the REMARKABLY BEAUTIFUL 1957 NOMADS truly one of the MOST ICONIC VEHICLES EVER TO COME OUT OF DETROIT MICHIGAN.Please ask any and all questions and they will be answered with honesty!!We have 100% feedback thanks to you our customers!!
