CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Up for sale is my 1968 RS/SS Camaro. I purchased this vehicle approximately 1 year ago with the hopes of restoring it. After purchasing the car, which was painted red at that time, I took it to my auto restorer where they pulled everything off and media blasted the entire. body. You can see normal rust for a 56 year old car. The Floor boards and trunk pan will need replacing, the rest will need either full panel replacements or pieced out. It appears the car was originally built as a Automatic, however, at some point the owner converted it over to a stick shift. Due to medical issues my restorer could not complete the project so after a year of it sitting at his shop, I pulled it.Trim Tag10A68-12437 NOR 22345749 Y2BreakdownBuilt the first week of October68 - Sport Coupe 8 Cylinder Norwood OH PlantInterior - Black Hounds-tooth Bucket Seats Paint - Butternut Yellow/Black Vinyl top At the time I purchased the car the engine sounded good and the transmission shifted fine. Right now vehicle is not running and will need to be picked up in person, as most shippers will not transport. Clean title in hand from FloridaWhile I do not have any documentation showing this vehicle is an authentic RS/SS the evidence shows it most likely is. The rear lamps below the running and brake lights shows this is a true RS. According to the trim t ag the original color was Butternut Yellow. If you look at the Cowl and Hood you can see the original Color was Butternut Yellow as well as the hood is an SS hood. The rear end is 12 bolt. Vehicle also appears it had a rear antenna options which most Camaro's did not.All parts in the cab and trunk, except for front windshield, it broke when removed, are included in the car. You would need to do a personal inventory, but most everything is there. I am sure little things such as emblems are not there as many owners back in the 60s and 70's removed the SS emblems, either because they were racing them or did not want their cars stolen.
