Here is a rare 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV convertible. One of 2195 built. This car is mostly complete but needs an extensive restoration. Lower body panels are pretty banged up, and there is rust through in several spots on lower outer panels. Main body support underneath seem decent, there is rust through on the unibody about the size of a silver dollar each side ahead of the rear spring front hangers. Doors open and close properly so that is a good sign as the body is not sagged. Needs hood hinges and rear bumper replaced. I do have fender skirts included with it. Front floor pans are intact, rear floor pans are rusted through where you place your feet. Inner rockers and transmission tunnel is good. I've never been able to get in the trunk yet so not sure of that area. This car is highly optioned with 430 auto, power seats, steering, brakes, windows (including rear window in convert. top), Town and Country signal seeking radio, power antennae, remote adjustable mirror, auto headlight dimming system, and windshield washer, and power trunk release.I've had this car running in the past. No brakes, but did run very well, no smoke or noise, and shifted through all the gears fine. Steering was good and the rear differential was quiet, so I would think the running gear is very useable for rebuild. This car has a clean title in my name. This car needs an extensive restoration but there is a lot here to work with. This vehicle is sold as is, where is. Buyer responsible for all transport costs. However, I can arrange transport to Vancouver BC for shipping to the USA or overseas. A non refundable deposit of $500.00 is due within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment due within 3 days. Thanks and happy bidding! |
