This is an authentic 1969 Z28, NOT A CLONE. Born from GM's Norwood Ohio plant the 5th week of March 1969 as documented by the X33 code found on the car's original trim tag. Have no doubts, GM NEVER produced a car with the X33 code on its metal cowl tag plate that was not a Z28. As an X33, the car was born from GM with extra exterior bright work trim options over the standard X77 code Z28 such as chrome accented grill and head light bezels, chrome accented bars in the tail lights, special drip rail chrome trim bright work, and the infamous Z28 quarter panel "gills". This car was not only born an X33 Z28 but also was born from GM with the rare and highly sought after deluxe custom weave interior--also documented on the GM original trim tag. This deluxe interior included a much better looking weave seat cover with sport stitching and buttons and very nice looking door panels along with other interior upgrades. Once you have experienced a Z28 with the deluxe interior option as compared to the standard plain interior options that most Z28 were originally equipped with, its likely you will quickly realize how cheap and plain one looks with the standard interior and from that point on always desire the deluxe version. A cherry on top, this car's interior is very nice. You will find many Camaros in this price range the seat covers and seat padding are all wrinkled and blown-out or if replaced were put on improperly crooked and/or lacking the proper tucking and/or foam padding. Not this Z28! This one was done right, including the headliner being replaced and the carpet! The car also has the vintage Yenko style chrome gauge pack and the expensive rosewood steering which looks awesome paired with the black custom weave deluxe interior. Additional documentation is available with this car such as owner history and title work, information as to what dealership this car was sold new from the GM official records and its location, along with other documentation such as a window sticker-- if desired. This car has the ultra-rare for Z28 BT positraction code rear axle tube stamping on the correct GM #3894860 rear axle. The standard 1969 Z28 rear axle was BO code and non-positraction. Many were also BU code. This car with BT posi stamping on the rear end sets this car apart!!Purchaser to Receive:One 1969 Camaro Z/28 documented X33 car with special options such as DZ 302 high-reving solid lifter 11.0:1 compression ratio engine, D80 rear spoiler, full chambered pipe exhaust, Duntov 30/30 solid camshaft, deluxe custom weave interior, M21 close ratio Muncie #660 case manual transmission, #860 Posi rear end, Hurst shifter, cowl induction hood, and more. The car is Tuxedo black with Dover White stripes. This car has the X33 code on what I am highly confident is the original factory trim tag. All X33 1969 Camaros were Z28s! The engine just received in December of 2019 a full rebuild consisting of torque plate honing of cylinders, new moly rings and premium bearings, new seals and gaskets, new stainless valves and valve job, new valve guides and hardened exhaust seats, new Duntov 30/30 camshaft, new solid lifters, new double row true roller timing set. The 1178 forged Z28 crankshaft was mico-polished after digital balancing. GM NOS dome forged pistons were used on full floating forged connecting rods. Rocker arms are long slot for the high lift Z28 camshaft! The engine is fed by a dual feed 4-barrel Holley carburetor w/ correct brass block and fuel line. The engine has the correct part number deep groove pulleys for high revs, including the deep groove alternator pulley. I have been using premium pump gas 91-93 octane fuel in the 302 DZ engine. The high lift long duration 30/30 Duntov camshaft allows for higher compression ratio on pump fuel. The engine block and cylinder heads are date coded preceding the cars trim tag, as is the rear 12 bolt axle and the M21 close ratio transmission. The cars VIN is present in both the transmission and the engine block. The car just received in December 2019 new brake system (GM #5483633 Delco Moraine Z28 calipers rebuilt), along with brand new chambered pipe exhaust system. New carpet was also recently installed. The seat covers and interior are in good condition and have been professionally refurbished. Headliner is in good condition. The Hurst shifter has the correct boot and bezel along with the correct shifter ball.
