1961 Mercury CometLocated in Centreville, MD 21617Spring is coming and what a great little retro looking Comet to cruise around in.I guarantee there will not be another one of these at any car cruise or car show. Completely restored within 15 years ago. Has minor bubbling shown in photos. Interior is like new. All chrome is like new. Motor starts up the first time and runs great. I do have to push the shifter a tad to the left to engage the neutral safety switch to start it. I think it needs adjusted. Straight 6 cycle was rebuilt as well as the 2 speed transmission and rear. No leaks or smoke. Tires are like new. All lights work. Horn and wipers work. I can not figure out how to work the radio and it could be a fuse. There’s is $1500 worth of digital factory appearing radio, amp and speakers. The engine bay and trunk are super clean. The floor pans and frames are spotless. Paint is an 8-9 except for aforementioned bubbles and flaws in the photos. It runs, drives and stops straight. No pulling.Great cruiser for a small amount of money.
