CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
The '65 and '66 Mustangs are arguably the most desirable, popular, and affordable collector cars in the world. The GT Mustangs are especially sought after because of both their rarity and vintage race car stance. This unusually well-equipped GT is documented by its original sales invoice found with the car. It was also reportedly a Texas car all its life. By its original sales invoice, this loaded A-Code GT Mustang coupe was sold new in Texas, and that's where this rust free factory hotrod has been until we shipped it to Colorado in 2016. The previous owner had the engine overhauled with a street performance cam, and judging by the performance, this engine received other performance mods. The factory 4-speed transmission makes this a very fun car to drive behind all that power. The transmission moves though all the gears easily, even at high rpm shifts. The interior appears to be the original, upgraded Pony Interior. It's in good condition with new carpet, headliner, a factory installed 4-speed console, AM Tape player, GT wheels (with the correct red-line radials), and air conditioning. This car received high quality paint in its original color over a solid straight body. This Mustang was cosmetically restored as an affordable driver that can complete in any neighborhood car show. It's not perfect as the a/c compressor and AM tape player are not functioning. The car has had some previous fender damage that was repaired, as the passenger side inner fender has some evidence of the damage that seemed too minor to replace. All gauges and safety items work properly. *We highly recommend each car is inspected by a third party prior to purchase.
