1979 Pontiac Trans Am T-top Coupe in desirable original Solar Gold color. Big factory 6.6 Liter 403 cubic inch engine, AT, PS, PB, AC, Cruise, and more. Starts easily, runs strong, drives fine, sound original drivetrain. New interior upholstery, brakes and transmission serviced, engine has new tune-up parts and runs well. New battery, fuel filter, alternator belt, coolant. I still consider the car a light project needing minor TLC, but sound engine, trans, bones.She's wearing original Solar Gold paint and factory decals, tired and touched-up, but original and looking very cool. T-tops are as nice as I've personally seen short of new. Interior features new seat upholstery, door panels, arm rests, carpet kit, re-dyed interior plastics, restored center console, new headliner, and more. Original gold Snowflake wheels are missing center caps.Loaded car with factory AC (underhood components missing, box and controls are still present), power windows (weak but work), power door locks, rear window defrost, stereo, remote trunk release, power steering, power brakes, new battery, new mufflers, and more. The car had been sitting parked in a yard for 13 years. Between the moisture from the ground, and the T-top weatherstrip allowing moisture in, there was rust in areas of the floor boards. This was all professionally repaired prior to the new interior going in. Not a concourse restoration job, but a solid, clean repair. Driver's door hinge pin/bushings have been rebuilt; latch is still wonky and doesn't always catch fully due to closing of the door with previous hinge wear. An annoyance but a small matter. Expect some electrical to not be fully functional; after driving the car for a month, many things that were formerly not working, or intermittent have "come back to life." As much as anything, the car just needs some love, and to be driven. This car is a paint job and some minor TLC away from being a very nice car. Personally I like the paint as it is and would leave it alone. No outer body rust to mention.$9,500.00 buys you a lot of classic Trans Am for the money. Clear title in hand.
