1970 Porsche 914 with a1.7-liter flat four. The car is black with a black interior, black OEM Pedrini Alloy wheels, and a black Targa top. I have had the car ten years and have replaced several parts. ODO showing 01,975 mi meaning 101,975 mi. I have had a new clutch assembly installed, pressure plate, transmission, gear box, shift linkage, removed unreliable factory fuel injection and switched to carburetor, installed a short shift kit, the brake rotors were resurfaced, and addressed lots of small differed maintenance. The car needed attention in several areas when I bought it, I have straightened body panels, replaced two broken windows, added new plastics on some exterior lights, tail light assemblies rewired, new fog lights, new tires, fixed the fuel gauge and the interior lights, fuses and gauges, etc. Replaced the previous stereo with a Sony CD player. I drive it two times a month, its well cared for, always garaged and maintained. In 2019 I had the car repainted black. It was pearl black when I got it and the original color is white, as seen in the engine bay. I also had the b pillar vinyl “sails”replaced and the targa top seal replaced.Vinyl interior is in good condition with a single one inch tear on the driver seat at the seam. There is one small ding on the chrome front bumper. The trunk has two rust holes smaller than a dime in the back. The turn indicator return spring is missing.Interior is an 8/10 – There is a very slight peel on the interior dash trim and a tear on the seam of the driver seat, it would be easily stitched with a curved upholstery needle. It looks fantastic and shows better than any other 914 I have seen.Exterior is a 9/10 – The paint is not perfect, there are some very small areas of orange peeling, front chrome is great with the one ding and rear chrome was painted silver (this is likely the worst part of the exterior) There is also a small rust spot in the interior rear trunk (very common on these cars). The bumpers are a smaller euro style, and I think look much better than most 914s.Anyone will tell you, these cars are temperamental and small issues are to be expected. Gears should be felt rather than forced. There may be the beginning of a synchro issue in first. Please contact me by email and provide your phone number. I’m open to reasonable negotiation and trades.___Keywords: 914-6, 914/6, 911,912, 911s, 911e, 911t, 911sc, 928, 944, karmann ghia, bug, beatle, VW, Audi,BMW, Mercedes, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 |
