| This is a 1941 Ford Special that is in really great shape. It has less than 6000 miles on the vehicle and it needs to restored. It has a rust free body and almost everything is original from 1941. It would make a great hot rod with the patina or whatever you like.We have added more pictures of the trunk area of this vehicle. When I vacuumed the car out it exposed original metal that is still shiny. This car is in 100 times in better shape, than almost any vehicle you will find that is over 40 years old. The metal is in great shape.We added a couple of pictures of the dash and gauges, I wish I was Ford guy, this thing needs to find a forever home!This a true Barn Find and it only has 5907 miles on the vehicle. The story about the car from people in Monroe City is that it sat in the Ford dealership for 30 years. The ford dealership closed and the owner passed away and his daughter ended up with the car.It has been kept inside for the last 30 years and the body is in great shape with no rust. It does have some surface rust but I believe it is the original paint.From the last city license, it appears that it was last driven in 1958 and it appears that it also has the original 1941 spare tire that had a brand name of Dayton McClaren Deluxe with a wide white wall.A friend of mine that is a hard core older Ford collector said that he had never seen a 41 Ford without the molding on the side. The Ford Special was just a really basic car for traveling sales people as much as I can determine. The Red pinstripe is original and is not something that I or anyone else added.You are welcome to call me at 573-353-3754 if you would like more information, but this is one sweet old Ford to restore.Currently I have not tried to start it but I will get it running unless someone buys it first.We will be adding more pictures and getting this little beauty running as time allows.I don't mind selling it overseas but it would be up to the buyer to arrange for everything and it would require a wire transfer to purchase the vehicle.This vehicle is located just a little south of the city of California Missouri, so I guess we are located in So-Cal, :)California MO is actually located in the State of Missouri and we are able to find a hauler for you that can deliver the vehicle to your location or we can help you load the car if you come to California MO. | |
