I Bought this 1962 Lincoln Continental 4 door convertible as a barn find in Kansas almost two years ago with every intention of a full restoration, but shortly after buying it I bought a 1967 Continental which was already restored. All I have done is get it running, it cranked up with starter fluid but the carburetor gaskets were old so I changed out with a used spare Edelbrock and got it running nicely. Engine sounds solid, I have a video of it running and the transmission goes into gear and pulls forward and reverse, possibly enough power to help load it onto a trailer but I haven’t cleaned out the gas tank so it was just running from a separate gas can. The car seems very complete and original. It has factory A/C and many Lincoln’s did not in 1962. 3 of the Power windows work, and interior/exterior lights etc all seem to work fine but the rear driver side window will not roll up. The convertible top will not operate and I see that someone removed all the relays in the trunk but I haven’t investigated or spent any time working on it except to get the engine to run. I haven’t even cleaned it up since buying it. After recently suffering an injury and contemplating my full time job managing a construction company I have come to the realization that I’m getting too old for another restoration requiring this much time so I am going to start selling off some of my beloved car collection and I am starting with the ones needing the most work to finish. Rust seems to be surface only as I haven’t found any panels/areas with a hole and it was stored many years in a dry barn in northern Kansas. I have clean Kansas title ready to go with the sale. Best wishes bidding and please ask any questions before bidding and I will do my best to answer same day. Need $500 PayPal deposit when auction ends, balance in 5 days. I will do my best to help you or your shipping company load it on trailer. Tires currently hold air but are very dry rotted. The best way for you to asses the value is come see it in person or hire a third party. I will not be held responsible for detailed representation of the car, see the pictures, ask questions and assume full restoration needed and I highly recommend seeing it in person.
