CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Mostly rust free, no rust is trunk or rear quarters, rear floors. Outer rockers are good, a little rust in inner rockers, and both front floors, but not much. I rebuilt the engine and brake system completely in 2015-2016. I have numerous photos of the job in progress. The engine is a stock 1959 292 with 2 barrel Autolite carb. Starts and runs perfectly! I am not kidding! The brakes are totally stock with all new wheel cylinders, hoses, shoes and master cylinder. The fuel tank is new, as is the fuel pump, and main fuel line along the frame rail. Tires are new, and a new spare is included. The car has been literally driven around the block a few times, and that is it. The front seat has been "rebuilt" so to speak, it is not the correct cover, but it has new foam, and is comfortable to sit on. I have the rear door panels, which are not too bad. The fronts are gone. I have replaced the core support with a rust free one from out west. Those who know these '59's will know that is a common rust item on them. Also, the hoods are notorious for rust along the front edge. This one is a nearly rust free example from out west. The low down is this: the engine is worth about $2,000, the hood about $500, and the core support about $500. If you are familiar with these cars you will know I'm correct. My asking price means you get the good stuff for your money, the rest is gravy! No, you can't drive this home, because it isn't quite street legal, what with the headlights removed at the moment. let's exercise a little common sense shall we? Now, I also have replaced the bottom of the front fenders with patch panels from Mac's ford parts, they just need finish work. Is it worth messing with? Sure it is! Like I said, the price is not bad for the whole shooting match, as they say. Car was a 3 speed stick, but I converted it to a 1962 Cruise-O-Matic automatic, which shifts nicely, and has been serviced. Car is in Marietta Georgia, and there is no title, as Georgia doesn't require them on any car built in 1985 or earlier. Bill of sale will be provided. Also, the car was originally a Custom 300, I have all the trim to convert it to a Galaxie and that trim is included. I also changed the roof to make it into a Galaxie. Why? Why not? Runs great, stops and goes and steers as it should. Lots of new parts included: windshield gasket, headlights, fender skirts, etc. Could be a donor car for your project! ********Re-listing because buyer didn't communicate with me or follow through with purchase. ******** Serious bidders only!!!!
