1964 Pontiac Grand Prix . Condition is used but excellent. I purchased this beautiful Grand Prix in the summer of 2018 from someone who had bought it from an estate sale, from which the previous owner had passed away in mid restoration.It has the year correct 389, 303 HP engine with the 3 sp Roto-Hydramatic transmission with a 2.69 rear gear ratio out back. This car cruises at 60 MPH at 2100 RPM,s and drives like a dream. It gets 19 mpg if kept between 60-65 mph. This car can be driven anywhere without any concern. Odometer shows 61962 miles, don't know if that is original or not. I have freshened it up mechanically by installing a new timing chain and gear set, a new factory stock Pontiac "068" camshaft with new lifters and rocker arms, new Edlebrock AVS 2 #1906 650 CFM carburetor with electric choke, new PCV valve, valve covers and air cleaner, new water pump, power steering pump,new one wire hookup altenator, new electronic HEI distributor, new a/c condenser with receiver drier, and a new a/c blower motor. I have converted the system to 134A. I also installed new Hankook P215 75R 14 tires on the original factory 8 lug rims. I had to purchase a special adapter that mounts to the rim for it to fit on the balancing machine. It is presently bolted to the spare tire. The trunk pan was replaced sometime during it's life as was the exterior color. Original color was Alamo Beige according to the PHS documents which I ordered for the car. The paint is fair and looks very good, no bubbles or blisters or rust of any kind anywhere on the body. There are a few dings on the front fenders that were painted over during the painting process, but they are very hard to see. The floor pans are good and solid, the frame rails have surface rust and is also solid. The car also has newer dual exhaust from front to rear. You will attract attention wherever you go with this classic. It gets a lot of attention at the local cruise nights and car shows. This was a highly optioned vehicle as you can see from the reproduction window sticker. The only things that do not work are: Radio, Clock, & switch for the Power Antenna.
