MR. RESIDES WAS A MEMBER OF THE TEAMSTERS AND BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER BACK IN 1972. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO OKC IN THE 90'S AND STORED IN A DOWNTOWN OKC WAREHOUSE. IT SAT IN THE WAREHOUSE FOR YEARS AND WAS ONLY DRIVEN OCCASIONALLY. I PURHCASED THE CAR IN 2015. THE ORIGINAL WHEEL CYLINDERS STILL REMAINED ON THE CAR. MY MECHANIC WENT THROUGH THE BRAKE SYSTEM REPLACING ALL THE CYLINDERS, LINES, PADS, ETC. THE CARB NEEDED ADJUSTMENT, NEW SHOCKS WERE INSTALLED, MOUNTED NEW RADIAL WIDE WHITES, ALIGNMENT, CHANGED ALL THE FLUIDS, REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION. TRANNY DOES NOT LEAK A BIT BUT THIER IS A SMALL OIL LEAK. IT HAS DUAL EXHAUST AND SOUNDS GREAT. CAR DRIVES LIKE A DREAM AND HAS TONS OF POWER, ESPECIALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS. CAR WILL DO 75-80 MPH WITH EASE AND THERE'S STILL HORSES WANTING TO RUN!!! STEERING WHEEL IS NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH NO VIBRATIONS. CAR IS A TRUE CRUISER AND GETS LOOKS AND COMMENTS EVERYWHERE IT'S DRIVEN. THE ONLY OPTION IT DOESN'T HAVE (I BELIVE) IS CRUISE CONTROL - THAT WOULD BE NICE. GUESS THE GUY WHO BOUGHT IT NEW FORGOT TO CHECK THAT BOX, DANG IT...I AM THINNING OUT MY COLLECTION AND HATE TO LET THIS ONE GO BUT I HAVE OTHER PROJECTS SO IT'S TIME THIS CADDY GETS A NEW HOME.CAR IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE FINEST AUTOMOBILES OF IT'S TIME. SOME SAY (OR I HAVE READ) IT WAS THE NICEST CAR YOU COULD BUY IN 1960. THE CAR HAS HAD ONE RE-SPRAY AND SOME MINOR REPAIRS HERE AND THERE BUT IS CLEARLY A "SURVIVOR" CAR. I DON'T THINK I WOULD DO A THING OTHER THAN ENJOY THE RIDE!THE FIRST THREE PICS WERE TAKEN ON THE DRIVE UP TO ENID FOR THE CAR'S MOVIE DEBUT. THE SUNSET MADE THE CAR LOOK LIKE IT WAS DESTINED TO BE A "MOVIE STAR". THE LAST PICTURE WAS TAKEN ON SET, INSIDE AN OLD CADILLAC DEALER IN DOWNTOWN ENID, OK.PLEASE CALL MONTE @ 405.650.8855 OR EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.I DO HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF EVERYTHING I HAVE SPENT AND SOME OLDER DOCS FROM WHEN MR RESIDES OWNED THE CAR. THE ARIZONA RED PLATE LOOKS SO GOOD ON THE CAR I HAVE LEFT IT ALONE. I CARRY THE OK TAG UNDER THE FRONT SEAT BUT I DON'T THINK ANYONE REALLY CARES. I HAVE HAD TROOPERS PULL UP NEXT TO ME GIVING ME THE THUMBS UP. I ALWAYS LAUGH THINKING HE NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT MY TAG.CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME.A $500.00 "NON-REFUNDABLE" DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 24 HRS OF AUCTION END.THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING! |
