Black Matte 1978 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne, Automatic transmission , 4WD. Clean Title. Beautifully running truck which has been largely restored. I originally bought this truck as an intermittent driver/camping/Snow rig. I love this truck but am making space/freeing money for my new home. The history behind the truck: I bought this as a third owner in 2017. The original owner traded the vehicle to a body restoration specialist in 2016 for work on a different vehicle. The original owner ran it as a regular driver from '78-'95. In 2000 he began mechanical restoration on the truck. New 350 engine placed at 102,995 miles in '00 (only 4K miles on 350 engine) with transmission restored at that time. I have a whole manilla folder full of the documentation of the mechanical restoration work that he preformed. The original owner had the car garage kept from 2000-2017 when he became too ill to work on it. He then traded it to a body/restoration specialist for work on an old Chevy Nova. The restoration specialist preformed a full servicing, engine maintenance, and body repair with steel plating. The restoration specialist sold it to me in 2017 after coating it in professional Black Matte Rhino lining.New Parts/ The Good: - Runs flawlessly, Starts even in cold weather and runs great! (Recently driven from Denver to Breckenridge and back with no issues) 350 engine was replaced with a new crate 350 around 4k miles ago- 4 Wheel Drive works Great- Automatic Transmission, No issues with transmission- No leaks of any kind- New radiator installed in 2018.- Dashboard replaced with new reproduction black dashboard from LMC truck (2018)- New Chrome/Black dash bezels from LMC truck (2018)- Brand new chrome bumper in 2019 (Old one scratched as a result of getting bumped against a tree while camping, see fender pic for small body dent with repair)- New fender trim (2018)- New Rear window Regulator (2019), serviced and cleaned rear regulator at that time- New Custom Autosound USA-230 reproduction stereo with auxillary cord for iPhone/Android hookup, Undercover II rear speakers and Front under Dash speaker (2018)- New LED taillights, LED Headlights (installed 2019)- Body repair with steel plating, Rhino Lining 2017- Radial A/S Dominator Tires with great tread- New Gas cap- Passed emissions with flying colors: 01/2020 The minor issues: - Front drivers side fender was bumped while camping and squeezing the truck between some trees. Scratched the bumper (which I replaced). Fender has a small dent and small area of touched up paint- Surface level undercarriage rust, overall though in really good shape for a 42 yo truck- Windows/Tailgate will probably need some new weather stripping at some point soon. I keep the truck in a garage and dont take it out when its wet but when I take it to the car wash it does have a small leak of water around the drivers side door weather stripping. Rear window weather stripping missing. - Front inner wheel well does have a small rust hole in it which was roughly patched. - Horn needs servicing, not currently working- Stereo system seems to bleed out the battery if the truck is not run for a couple weeks.- Original seats, but some of the vinyl dye has cracked on the passenger side seat. The drivers side seat has a tear in it. All seats are a little dingy as they are 40+ years old. - One of the LED headlights needs wiring to the Bright component. Stock connectors left in place in case you want to switch back to Halogen All in all this is a fantastic truck, but I'm selling it as is. Happy to answer any other questions. If you are local or close to Denver, I'm happy to set up a showing. |
