| 1974 Ford LTD station wagon. This is an LTD not a Country Squire, it doesn't have the woodgrain on the side and there are no 3rd row seats. It's green/green and has the 400 V8 in it along with AC and cruise. Manual windows. I haven't done much with the car in the last year or so and just seeing if anyone else is interested in it. The interior is pretty nice except it needs carpet, and the driver's seat bottom has a tear. The dash is very nice, the dash pad is uncracked.. Interior needs a good cleaning. It needs a windshield which is the same as a 4 door LTD. The worst rust is the driver's side rear quarter, the wheel well is rusted out around the arch and in the front (dog leg) The bottoms of the quarters are surprisingly solid on both sides. Could use a 4 door quarter to fix this one. Rockers are good both inners and outers, and the floors are good. It could also use a passenger front door and the fender has some rust on the bottom. There are some small rust spots on the pass wheel well area. The frame is solid including around where the bumpers mount. The bottom of the floor that is in the cargo area (where the rear seats would fold down into if it had them) is thin. I bought some replacement parts for it, a nice tail light, an NOS passenger rear wheel well trim, hood letters, etc etc. The passenger side park light bezel is NOS.It will run but only for a brief time. I really think it just needs a tune up, it hasn't has had anything done to it for years. I am going to give it a tune up over the weekend and see what I can do. I bought a lot of new parts for redoing the brakes and I would include those. Hoses, the front discs, etc.It would have to be winched on a trailer. I was going to make a driver out of it and use it to haul stuff, I'm just seeing if anyone is interested in this car before I really get stared on this project. It's titled and registered in my name. These wagons are not easy to find, especially ones without the woodgrain. I do have more pics. Looking for 59 Cadillac parts if anyone has them. It needs to be moved within 2 weeks or storage of $50 a month will incur. It can sit a couple months if you pay the storage. | |
