CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Up for Sale is my beautiful 1977 Ford Bronco. This is the last year for the first generation Bronco and this one is a very well preserved example of the end of the "Early Bronco" Era. I've owned this vehicle for over 10 years and it's been pampered and cared for since I brought it home from California. Always garage kept, it has never seen bad weather and has actually only been driven to the ice cream parlor in the summer time and to the occasional car show throughout the year. It has recently undergone a restoration and it certainly turned out beautiful. I have photos of the all of the stages of the restoration, from the undercarriage right up to the Cobalt Blue Metallic finish. The following is a brief summary of the main operations that have been done to the Bronco. I'm certain to forget some stages, but I have photos. Also, please note, this has a performance engine and will not pass California emissions. The engine starts right up every time, no matter how long it has sat idle. The idle goes to 1100 rpm for a brief time and then the automatic choke kicks in and it idles at around 700 rpm. The idle is a "lopey" muscle car idle due to the cam and sounds great with the New FlowMaster 40's - 3 inch dual exhaust system. The engine was completely rebuilt about 12K miles ago and performs really well with no leaks and no smoke. The following items were added new to the engine area during the restoration:New Holley 650 Carb and Performance Manifold, All New Duraspark 2 ignition system and components, New James Duff Brake Booster, New 2 core aluminum radiator along with all new hoses and belts, New Duracell battery with a 3 year warranty, Mild performance cam, Long tube headers that have been ceramic spray coated, New steering Gear Box. Dana 44 Rebuild:The Dana 44 front axle was removed and tore down. The following items were replaced: All new wheel bearings and seals, New bearings and seals in the 4 wheel drive input shaft, New radius arm bushing and new 4 degree radius arm front bushing. A new adjustable track bar was added to the front suspension along with a 4 inch drop steering bracket to bring the suspension back into spec after the installation of the 4 inch SkyJacker Suspension Lift. New Warn Premium locking hubs were installed along with all new wheel bearings. All new brake rotors and calipers and pads were installed along with all new brake lines. The front driveshaft was rebuild using Spicer bearings. New Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shocks were installed. Ford 9 inch rear axle:The rear axle was removed and tore down. New seals and all new bearings were installed. The rear drive shaft was rebuilt using Spicer bearings. The rear shoe brakes were rebuilt and new brake drums were installed. New brake lines and brake proportioning units were installed. New SkyJacker Hydro 7000 shocks were installed. The wimpy 5 leaf springs on the rear end were replaced with 11 leaf SkyJacker leaf springs. UnderCarriage:The frame and all of the undercarriage parts were sanded, primed, and painted. The frame is smooth and well preserved. The undercarriage was sanded, primed, painted, and then professionally rubber coated to preserve it. Gas Tanks were removed and the side aux tank was cleaned and painted. The rear tank was replaced with an aftermarket 23 gallon tank to hold more fuel than the original. New fuel sending unit was installed in the rear tank and a more accurate fuel gauge was installed. A new tank selection solenoid was installed. Both tanks are functional. Interior:The interior has been professionally rubber coated and painted. New black carpet has been installed. The front seats were professionally reupholstered and I installed some nice Ford leather looking seat covers. The rear seat is an aftermarket seat that folds down and also tumbles forward to allow for more cargo space. Seat Belts are installed. A family style 4 point roll cage has been installed. The doors have all new rubber seals installed. There is a Pioneer Stereo installed along with 6 speakers. Sounds really good for not having an amplifier installed. Exterior:The exterior was sanded down to mostly bare metal. Three coats of polyester primer was sprayed as well as 3 coats of Cobalt Blue Metallic basecoat, and then topped off with 3 coats of Chrystal clear - clear coat. The final layer of clear coat was hand wet sanded to a smooth 3000 grit finish. The finish is 3 months old and looks good. The top, wheel fenders and bumpers were professionally rubber coated with a medium finish and painted Matt Black. Other things I forgot to mention:Tires are BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2's. 32 X 11.50. They are new and have about 50 miles on them. The wheels are New and by Pacer and are the black wagon wheel style to mimic the originals. The transmission is a C4 - 3 speed automatic and was rebuilt at the same time as the engine, about 12K miles ago by Monster transmission. I know I've forgotten to mention alot of stuff so if you have questions just leave me a message on Ebay mail. I will check it often. Thanks for looking!
