I can assist with financing and transport as needed. This 1967 Corvette convertible combines the unbeatable styling of the last mid-year Corvette with the performance of a professionally built 600+ hp engine to create one of the most vivid rides you will experience. It certainly looks like a classic C2 with all those gorgeous curves and creases. But from the moment you turn the key and hear this car’s magnificent roar, you will know this one is different. This Corvette was built in January 1967 and appears to have lived an accident free life. It received plenty of updating and maintenance over the years with many receipts included. In 2002 it received a major overhaul which included a full repaint in its original Marlboro Maroon along with a big block hood. The paint still has a beautiful finish though some stress cracks are visible near the front corners of the hood opening. The brightwork is all in great condition as are the Rally wheels. And the side pipes are definitely meant for a car like this one; what a sound! This was originally a 327ci 300hp small block car. The original numbers-matching engine is included. It was rebuilt in 2000 which included an overbore, roller camshaft, and valve job. It produced 380hp which is certainly respectable. However it doesn’t compare to the present motor which is a Ron Gustaf 427ci small block producing a monstrous 621hp at 5,900 rpm. This engine was built from a Dart Sportsman block with a Scat crankshaft, Eagle rods, and JE 12:1 pistons (race gas required). There is a solid roller Lunati camshaft along with ported Brodix aluminum cylinder heads. Up top is an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake and 750cfm Demon carburetor. The engine fires right up without any fuss and is surprisingly docile at idle.In addition to the modified original engine, this Corvette also comes with the original intake manifold, valve covers, and steering wheel. The original small block hood is also included. Note it was painted at the same time as the car so it is a perfect color match. The transmission is the numbers-matching Muncie 4-speed which uses an aftermarket Ram clutch for better grip. The rear end has been modified with 3.55 gears and new axle seals. The tires are from Coker Classic with a size of P205/75R15 (yes they are easy to spin). Power steering was added in 2002 and the brake calipers received stainless steel sleeves. The code 455 black and white interior was redone in 1986 and still looks very nice. The original tachometer was replaced with a larger Autometer unit with shift light while the steering wheel is from Lecarra. Everything else is as original. The horn, heater, wipers, radio, and clock all work. The headlights operate smoothly as well. And in addition to the white soft top, this convertible also includes a black vinyl hard top. It’s hard to beat a 1967 Corvette. For many it represents the best of the mid-years and the pinnacle of Corvette design. This example really steps it up and will easily out-perform any of the factory offerings including the legendary L88. It’s a great way to capture the look, sound, smell, and feel of a classic high performance Corvette. Vehicle Description All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.
