What a great car with a very short ownership history. The original owner purchased this beauty on October the 24th of 1968, from Mr. Bourbon's ownership in 1968 there was only one other owner that did most of the freshening up. The original numbers matching 396 big block and turbo 400 transmission were rebuilt, the car was refinished in its dark green, almost black appearing paint, and had new seat covers installed when I purchased it. From that point the original bumpers were starting to show some wear so I spent a couple thousand dollars to have them re-chromed and the seats seemed to be lacking some support so I had new seat bun foam installed. I cannot find any rust anywhere on the car, there are a couple of very small bubbles on the back of the car to the right of the trunk lid that I pictured but that is something in the paint and not a rust bubble as they've never grown or changed in anyway. I'm assuming the vinyl top was replaced as it's just too nice to be original, the paint on the car is nice driver quality, not show quality but presents very well as you can see in the photos. There is a crack in the steering, that would probably be the biggest pick in my opinion. This is an awesome cruiser that's been well sorted out and ready to enjoy. This is a car you could have your wife get in and drive and you would both be very comfortable with. I have added an immediate deposit due of $100 to dissuade people from hitting the buy it now without any intentions of purchasing. Full payment is required in 7 days or upon pickup whichever comes first. |
