1979 Firebird Formula 400, 4 speed, T-tops. 2ndowner, owned for the past 11 years. Less than 16,600 original miles – the suspension is tight and drives like new. Professionally, performance built Pontiac 400 with less than 1200 miles on engine. Engine has an Eagle forged steel crank, Pontiac #62 big valve, high compression heads, Pontiac Ram Air 3 cam with 1.65 roller tip rockers, Factory Ram Air headers, MSD ignition, Holley 770 carb and other performance parts. Rear axle has a 3.42 gear with an Eaton posi unit. The paint on the car is fading in some areas with a few nicks and light scratches. Also, there are a couple of areas that have surface rust – see pictures. It does need a new headliner. Underneath, the car is very solid. Never been wrecked, no bondo or fillers. A.C. does not work, however all parts are there. The car is very fast, yet, staying with original Pontiac performance parts – it is also very dependable. You can drive it as is and enjoy it, or a mild restoration would make it like brand new. This car turns heads and gets comments of admiration wherever it goes.
