| This 40 is a joy to drive…. It was built by a professional who owned the car for 48 years. It was only sold after his death. I looked at many 40’s for over a year before finding this one. I have owned and enjoyed this car for four years. Time to pass it along to a new owner. Over 8,000 miles since the build,The car was built to drive and enjoy. E mail me with any questions I know if you drive it, You will buy it!! The Pictures… Show the condition! Engine & Transmission 350 chevy truck with 4 bolt main. Mild cam. Electronic ignition. Edelbrock carb, with automatic choke. The engine has 40 psi oil pressure at idle, does not run hot, and has plenty of power. The transmission is a 350 Turbo automatic which shifts fine in all gears. Electrical New wiring with over 20 fuses in fuse panel, see picture. LED lights for tail, parking, directional, and third brake light. Halogen Headlights, Switched interior dome light. Back up camera with screen in front of floor shifter. Directional signals with 4 way LED flashers. Sony, Sirus ready radio, with Bluetooth for phone and USB port, no cd slot. VDO gauges that all work see picture. Electric two speed wipers. Power seat drivers side only. Battery disconnect switch on rear shelf. The Body All steel body panels that have all been undercoated. All chrome is in excellent A+ condition. Paint is excellent but could use a buffing for slight swirl marks All glass is perfect with perfect rubber seals. Ice cold AC in summer and Ultra hot heat in winter. Vintage 40 ford steering wheel made to fit tilting Chevrolet column. Perfect running board covers and Perfect rain gutters. Interior Excellent interior beautiful headliner. Bucket seats possible Monta Carlo. Perfect dash no extra holes. Both ashtrays work. Working clock and tachometer. Underside & Driveline Newer Gas tank with switched electric pump to prime carb if needed. Power Disk brakes in the front, dual master cylinder, with drum brakes in the rear. Chevrolet Nova Rear with 2:78 Gears. This ratio gives you 58 MPH at 2000 RPM. Adjustable Air shocks in rear. Chevrolet Rally wheel rims with 2” whitewall tires about 2,800 miles ago. Power Steering. You can turn a corner with one finger. The underside has not been detailed but has no rust other than maybe Some very minor surface rust. The frame has never been detailed, but could be done if you have a lift Original ford solid front axil Heavy duty sway bars both front and rear. Full size spare tire, but not a whitewall. | |
