| This didn't sell last time so I am giving it one more chance before I take it to auction locally. I am selling my 1968 Ford Thunderbird Landau Coupe (hardtop) with 110,000 original miles. This car comes from Arizona and Texas, manufactured in Los Angeles -- one of only 33,029 ever produced. These cars were the halo car for Ford and were produced almost hand-made in a special plant with highly qualified and specially selected workers to assemble them.It is solid and straight, as you can see from the pictures, and comes with all the right options. Powered by the legendary Ford 429 Thunderjet engine, developed for road racing against the 426 Hemi's of the day, it isn't shy about get-up-and-go. There are all of the appropriate luxury items such as power seats, windows, brakes and steering, coupled with factory Magic-Aire Air Conditioning. It has factory tinted windows, original Wimbledon White paint with black leather-like interior and factory Philco AM radio still in the dash.Automatic transmission, correct dual exhaust system, optional padded black Landau roof treatment (showing a little wear, but good for its age), and very good chrome, glass and stainless trim. The car is now 52 years old, and in amazing condition, with no rust, dents, or accident history that I can determine. As always, this car comes without any warranty or guarantee of any kind. Condition and desirability are certainly in the eye of the beholder, and I think this car is really sensational. That being said, it is 52 years old and the buyer should understnd that. The pictures tell the story of this very rare, highly desirable and ultimately collectible example of Ford's finest work in the Sixties. It has new tires, exhaust system, current license and registration in Texas, a clean and clear title, and I will help load the car for your shipper.
