IT APPEARS 95% OF THE TRIM AND THE BUMPERS WERE REMOVED BEFORE PAINTING. THE BUMPERS, HEADLIGHT PODS, TAILLIGHT BEZELS ( ALL POT METAL) WERE RE-CHROMED AND HAVE NO PITTING. WE WERE TOLD OVER $12,000.00 WAS SPENT ON CHROME WORK. THE TAILLIGHT LENSES ARE BRAND NEW. ALL GLASS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION EXCEPT THERE ARE COUPLE OF VERY LIGHT SCUFF MARKS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT WE COULD NOT SHOW THEM IN THE PHOTOS. THE BLACK CANVAS TOP IS LIKE NEW WITH CLEAR REAR PLASTIC. THE CAR COMES WITH A NEW BOOT COVER. THE ORIGINAL HUBCAPS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. INTERIOR: THE SEAT COVERS, DOOR PANELS, CARPETS APPEAR TO BE REDONE. THE ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL WAS REDONE. THE DASH BEZEL AND CONTROLS LOOK ORIGINAL AND IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES, ASHTRAYS, SEAT SIDE HARDWARE, ETC. APPEAR TO BE RE-CHROMED. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP FRAME APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND REFINISHED AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. MECHANICAL: THE ORIGINAL 413 ENGINE STARTS AND IDLES LIKE A WELL OILED SEWING MACHINE. LIKE ANY OLD CLASSIC CAR, IF THE CAR SITS FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS IT TAKES A FEW TRIES TO GET IT STARTED. THE ENGINE DOES NOT LEAK OR SMOKE. IN FACT THERE ARE NO FLUID LEAKS UNDER THE CAR WHEN PARKED FOR EXTENDED TIME. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS WELL. HERE ARE THE RECENT SERVICES ON THE CAR: * THE TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICED WITH NEW PAN GASKET, AND SHIFT LINKAGE "O" RING * THE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGED * NEW BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER * NEW BRAKE LINES, FLEX HOSES, AND BRAKE SHOES * NEW CHOKE PULL-OFF SOLENOID * ALL NEW SHOCKS THE TIRES LOOK LIKE NEW AND RIDE SMOOTH BUT WE DON'T KNOW THEIR AGE. THE DUAL EXHAUST SYSTEM LOOKS NEWER. ELECTRICAL; THE LIGHTS AND GAUGES WORK EXCEPT THE FUEL GAUGE. THE HORN WORKS. THE POWER WINDOWS, AND POWER SEAT WORK ( THE SEAT SWITCH SOMETIMES WILL NOT OPERATE AND YOU HAVE TO WIGGLE IT, PERHAPS A BAD CONTACT). THE POWER TOP WAS NOT WORKING. OUR TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE TOP MOTOR, RAMS, AND A COUPLE OF THE FITTINGS. THE POWER TOP WORKS GREAT. THE A/C FAN WORKS BUT THE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE CHECKED AND PERHAPS CHARGED. TRUNK: THE TRUNK PAN IS SOLID AND ORIGINAL AND STILL HAS THE FACTORY COATING. WE DID NOT WANT TO RE-SPRAY IT. NO RUST, NO PITTING. THE TRUNK HOUSES A BRAND NEW SPARE TIRE. THE TRUNK CHANNELS AROUND THE TRUNK WELL HAVE NO RUST OR PITTING. WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THE JACK AND THE LUG WRENCH. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT LOOKS CLEAN AND ORIGINAL WITH NO SIGNS OF RUST OR PITTING ON THE INNER FENDERS OR FRONT SECTION BEHIND THE BUMPER. THE HOOD INSULATION IS NEW. WE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY.
