Up for sale is this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. These are the hottest Mustang in the market right now. They will continue to increase in value. I have "sold" this car three times...one buyer did not respond after bidding, the second buyer did not like the VIN location (see details below), and the third was not able to meet the terms of the sale as stated below and after 41 days of waiting for money to be wired, I've given up. Each time, the car met reserve and sold for close to the Buy It Now price. This car was owned and built by an older gentleman in Central Arkansas for many years. It enjoyed a mid-grade restoration where lots of resources were spent. The car began as a low horsepower 8 cylinder Mustang Fastback (see VIN decoded below) car and underwent a drivetrain build in the early 2000s. I have approximately 150 receipts for parts during that time period that total around $15,000 and does not include the motor, paint and body, or any labor. I estimate approximately $25,000 was spent on making this car what it is today, excluding labor and the purchase of the car itself. VIN Decoded:7 - 1967F - Dearborne, Michigan02 - FastbackC2 - 289 2V09255 - unit numberOn these cars, the VIN should be exposed on the drivers side inner fender and covered on passenger side inner fender. On this car, the drivers side inner fender was replaced. The previous owner revealed the VIN on the passenger side inner fender to prove it against the title. There are no door tags present on the car. This is NOT a numbers matching car. Today it has a 390FE engine with 428 SCJ heads paired with a C-6 transmission that has been completely rebuilt with 31 spline axle, posi traction, with gears in the mid-3s (3.42 I believe). Other features include a new TCI-Saturday Night Special, aluminum intake, 650 Demon carb, 9” Ford rear end, disc brakes on the front with drums on the rear, balanced driveshaft, Hooker headers, Performer 2106 Cam, and B&M shifter. During its restoration, all body panels that had rust or damaged sheet metal was either repaired or replaced. The interior of the car is very nice and I would consider it well above average. The exterior of the car is good driver quality and would likely do well in local shows. This is a tight driving car as it drives straight down the road and has plenty of power. This car is not a showroom build as there are flaws in the paint work as its biggest opportunity. With that said, the car is a solid 15-footer and cleans up well.
