I can assist with financing and transport as needed. The first generation Mustang fastback is one of the great automotive designs. It still looks relevant after 55 years and has become one of the most desirable versions of Ford’s masterpiece. This 1965 C-code model helps show why, with a timeless look that was so right from the start. This pony car was built in February 1965 and is the product of an older restoration. Originally Caspian Blue, it was repainted metallic burgundy and received new floor pans as well. The bumpers were also replaced along with much of the trim and rubber seals. It received a full dual exhaust with chrome tips in back. And the styled steel wheels always look great on a first generation Mustangs. The engine appears to be the original 289ci V8 with a casting date of 5A14 (January 14, 1965). It has a few aftermarket accessories such as the finned M/T valve covers and chrome air cleaner along with headers. The transmission is a 3-speed manual as it had from the factory. The car has had a lot of recent work including new brake cylinders, strut rod bushings, pinion seal, upper ball joint, and sway bar bushings. The original interior was redone in black and white and really looks sharp. The seats, carpet, door panels, and headliner all look great. The folding rear seat is one of my favorite features on these cars. It really changes the appearance while providing a lot of storage space beyond the small trunk. The gauges, lights, horn, heater/defroster, and parking brake all work properly. The radio is just for looking at though. An original build sheet is also included. This is real-deal V8 Mustang Fastback. It is one of the few classics where a fixed roof version is more expensive than a convertible. They have become so desirable that people are willing to cut the top off a coupe and weld on a reproduction fastback roof. You don’t have to take such measures with this one; just turn the key and go. Vehicle Description All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.
