CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |

Offering for sale like new stalker XL purchased turn key from stalker speced as followsCar has only 55 miles on it which was 3 shake down drives. Florida titled and registered as a lotus 7 replica. All new except the wings which were provided as used, this is not a donor type car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUX1GsMkCIsNew cost for this would be a little over 58k. Asking 45k OBO I purchased this car with the intent of driving using it for track days. Unfortunately the car was delivered to me by stalker with several defects, which is the reason the sale. After everything I went through I want nothing to do with Scott or Brunton Auto or Stalker Cars. All issues should be fixable but my fixing them would greatly complicate the recovery of damages from Stalker for their breach of contract. I cannot convey well enough what a terrible ordeal this has been and would not recommend anyone to deal with them. Because of communications I recently received about defamation, see the bottom for some more details about my experience. Defects are disclosed as follows (message for pictures);-Forward roll hoop improper alignment to main frame. -The finish on the rear brake calipers has been heavily scuffed. (never was told how this happened)-Broken rear wing end plate (repairable, $50 quoted from APR + shipping)-Oil cooler needs additional brackets on the back.-Brake tee fitting leaking at brake light switch. Minor;Bell housing block off plates need to be fitted, catch can routing needs to be corrected (hose in front of MAF should be behind it) various cables need to be secured etc. I was kind enough not to detail all the bad parts of my experience and mostly just the parts necessary to explain why I was selling it and the condition it was being sold in. That good faith was met in an unappreciated way. So here's a few interesting experiences I had, of which are preserved in text and email. (Tip; facts are not defamation). -After notifying him of the defects itwas excuse after excuse, always I can fix it next week. I heardnothing from him for over a month at one point and I totally wroteoff that it would ever be fixed and started resolving it myself. Whenhe finally showed back up saying he could fix it later in the week Itold him I had no trust or faith in him anymore and I wanted a refund. He said he would, and would have the money by, you guessedit, the end of the week. Needless to say, to this day that hasn'thappened. -Or, how about when he started the engine the first time andit just died repeatedly, he asked me to help figure out why. (supposedly it ended up being MAF related)-Or thefact I ordered black calipers and when he installed grey calipers andI told him to fix it, he ordered a different more expensive typebecause the original kind weren't stocked in black and then billed methe difference for his mistake. -Or how the throttle pedal was jammed partially open the second time I drove it because he left part of the assembly loose. -Countless changes he did without asking me like welding "super trapp" tips on and pointing the exhaust straight back at the rear fender instead of the side exits (he actually fixed this though). My broad personal opinion (Tip; also not defamation) I would not recommend to any person to buy anything from them. I am incredibly unhappy with the product I received and my experience dealing with them. Also, tip for any person doing business out there. After delivering a defective product to someone, not fixing it after a long time and then never providing an agreed refund, don't respond to a demand letter with anything other than trying to make it right. All you will achieve is hurting your reputation more. |
