THESE TOP TWO PICTURES ARE OF THE DAY I BOUGHT THE MUSTANG ALL of the other pictures are how the car looks RIGHT NOW cleaned upMany of us that are car enthusiasts often hear the terms "barn find" and "survivor" labels used very loosely. People will call any old car by these desirable terms to excite you on a typical classic that poorly describes the actual history of the vehicle. This 1967 Mustang Fastback is not one of those stories. It is the epitome of a true "barn find, survivor" car. This car has had long term ownership in sunny, dry Southern Oregon. The previous owner had this car for over 40 years. For about the last 20 years, it has been stored inside his barn elevated off of the ground sitting on blocks. I have pictures above showing the car as I found it showing how it has been stored over the last 20 years. Decades of dust, all intact, and very well preserved!!It is amazing to find a fastback Mustang this solid, original, and mostly rust free. It has great bones and only very minimal rust that would be easily repairable. (highlighted in pics below) The floor pans are solid. The rocker panels are nice and solid. All of the jams and hinges look great. The body lines are nice and consistent. The interior is all there and serviceable as is. There is a rip in the rear seat that I have highlighted in pics below, but otherwise, the interior is pretty dang nice! The headliner is in really good shape. The dash, gauges, trim, all show very well and are original. The factory radio is still in the car and the radio area in the dash has not been cut or altered. The interior panels all show well and the upholstery is in good original condition. It does show some age as to be expected, but like I said, original!! It has the original 6 cylinder engine that runs and the original 3 speed manual transmission. When I brought the car home, I went through the fuel system, changed the oil, put in a hot battery and it fired right up! I did clean the car up and put period correct looking hubcaps on the car. I think they look really nice on the Mustang. The car runs and drives good but the clutch is getting weak. (starting to slip) The choke does not currently work. A couple of minor fixes and you're ready for a summer drive!This car is an open canvas and a fantastic candidate for whichever way you ultimately choose to go. Whether you would like to drive it as a solid original car, resto-mod build, or something in between, this is a solid foundation and an excellent choice. Please take the time to check out the 100 plus detailed photographs below. I believe this is the best and most accurate way to describe how truly nice, solid, and rust free this car is.
