Beautiful Restomod, totally rebuilt in 2014 with 2,500 miles since. First Place in 2014 Albuquerque SuperNationals, Centerfold for the 2015 Route 66 calendar. Has gone only 200 miles in the last three years. Motor is a warmed LS1. Dyno tuned to 420 horsepower. Power through a 6 speed Tremac and a Dana 44 with 4.11 gears. The chassis is a C4 from Paul Newman with 4-wheel disk brakes, upgraded suspension and the largest wheels that fit under the stock chassis. It easily cruises at highway speed due to the 6-speed and its acceleration is impressive. It also sounds fantastic. The motor, while modern, is designed to look age appropriate. The exposed intake cover, chromed headers, upgraded electronics, radiator, etc all look great! While this car is a show winner, it was built to be driven. The trick with restomod is to get a bunch of fancy parts to work together. On this car, it does. Lots of time went into ensuring it was built right and many lots of parts were changed when the driving experience was less than it ought to be. The top is included and looks new, because I've never used it. Windows are electric and, while the windshield wipers are not shown in the photo, I have them (this car doesn't go in the rain). The paint cost $28,000. The exterior still looks new with no marks. There are minor marks where parts meet, for example on the door jam where the door contacts the frame when it's closed. Most, but not all the chrome was replaced when the restoration was done. It looks very good. |
