CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1969 Plymouth Barracuda. This car started its life on a farm in Florida and was stored in a barn for most of its life. I was able to track down the original owners and talked with them. It was ordered with Ivy Green paint, Ivy Green vinyl top and a Yellow and Green Mod interior available for 1969 only. With the drive train that was ordered, this is one of 6,270 Notchbacks built in '69. It is 1 of 937 that were fitted with the Mod option. The rarest combo is the plain vinyl top with Mod interior. I am the third owner of the car, I bought in 1995. It underwent an extensive restomod over several years. It now has Paprika Red base coat clear coat paint. The stainless trim was removed and polished, the plastic lenses were replaced and all of the rubber and foam seals were replaced. All of the undercoating was removed and the underside was repainted. The floors were cleaned and then painted with POR-15. I added heat reflective padding and sound proofing panels. There is an all new deluxe Black interior with wood-grain accents, bucket seats, console shift, 150 mph speedometer, factory in-dash tachometer, factory AM/FM thumb-wheel radio, factory A/C under-dash chrome vents and Black carpeting. All original MOPAR tinted glass. I kept the original 318 as it has only 133,000 miles and still runs very strong. If you want more horse power, a 340 or 360 will drop in with very minimal modification. It has points ignition, high voltage coil, Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 4 bbl carb and a torque strut mount. I replaced the timing chain and there is lots of Chrome and Stainless accents in the engine bay. There are TTI headers with silver ceramic coating by Jet Hot Coatings (life-time warranty). There is a 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust system mated to Moroso spiral flow mufflers and stainless steel tips. It has an aggressive sound under acceleration. I added a 727-A auto transmission connected to an 8 3/4 rear, 742 case, 3:55 gears, pinion snubber and Green axle bearings. I opted for acceleration over highway speed. I re-anodized the original Aluminum tail panel and then painted the field with Mopar Organosol paint to compliment the Black hood stripes. There are new HD shocks, polygraphite bushings and re-arched the leaf springs. There are Radial T/A tires mounted on Aluminum Centerline wheels with MOPAR star center caps. 14" x 6" on the front and 15" x 7" on the rear with a 4" bolt pattern. There are manual brakes and 10" drums all way around. I closed in the antenna hole and cowl vent for a smooth hood appearance and I added Black hood stripes that were available as an option for the 69 only but, with-out the hood scoops. For a custom touch, I hand tinted the parking light lenses with a 2 tone translucent Red above Orange and a Red pin stripe around the inner edge of the grills. All in all, a really fun car to drive and turns a lot of heads.Disclosures -- - The wiper motor does not return to the park position (new issue).- The drivers side header ceramic coating is peeling at the collector (life-time warranty).- The A/C needs charging.- The heater core has a small leak so I disconnected the hoses and capped the pipes.- There is a small indentation in the center of the front bumper.- There are 2 small bubbles appearing at the rear quarter panel.- There is an area in the trunk spare tire well between the 2 gas tank braces that has some minor flaking. The car comes with a new 2 piece trunk floor panel and a new gas tank in boxes. Please free to ask me any questions.
