Winning the Daytona Grand National making it one of the fastest American stock cars you could own in those days. Star Chief's are recognized as a top of the line luxury sports cars of the late 1950's, a sleek yet bold 2 door coupe with a jet age inspired iconic tail-fin and stainless side panel rocket-ship style design this was one of the nicest General Motors vehicles you could own back in the 1950's era of America.BODY: Frame on-Restoration Much detail and attention during the restoration was given when removing all the stainless trim and was put back on, all trim pieces line up laser straight. (see pics) Cosmetically this car looks very sharp there are no dents, no dings and everything lines up correctly. (see pics)INTERIOR: Professionally reupholstered (2018) Sitting inside the Star Chief the first thing you notice is how nice and firm the seats are. No sagging. All New interior makes for a really nice ride *and car smells nice* $6000 Was spent on interior updates: New Carpet, New Headliner, Painted Dashboard, Door Panels, Both Front and Back Seats redone. All mechanic windows, seats and doors and lock all operate properly.EARLY 1957 MODELS were outfitted with an embroidered "Star Badge" on the upper portion of the seats (see pics). These early model interior designs are particularly rare as they soon dropped them throughout 1957. MECHANICAL: This Star Chief has been meticulously maintained with much money and labor put into it over the years. Each owner took fine care of this car and it shows. Engine and Transmission: have been REBUILT (2017) does not smoke or misfire or give any hesitation when accelerating whatsoever. Smooth operation.Odometer Shows mileage as 93K however motor has been completely rebuilt, Pistons, rings, service and tune-up, everything gone through extensively. Starts up every-time even on cold days without any issue. Accelerates very nicely. Has very throaty strong power. Drives very straight. Tracking down the road like any modern car and does not pull to ether side of the road when driving. Very much time has been put into this vehicle restoring it as well as protecting it for many years. The car is a very much a pleasure to drive. NO Issues with it mechanically, it is road ready. Starts, shifts and stops without any issues of concern.Automatic Jet-Away Transmission was rebuilt (2017) when the motor was overhauled, shifts excellent. Brakes are good and car stops as it should. This car can be driven anywhere with confidence. RUST FREE SOLID CAR NO holes in the floor or in the trunk, car is very solid. Very little of the body has diminished and is in extremely excellent Western car. Chrome bumpers front and back are original and show some sign of age and patina but still look very nice and presentable. Star Chief's in this condition are becoming harder and harder to find.
