A Blast from the past, my buddy calls it the 'Wonder Years' car! Ready to be a Daily Driver or continue to make it your own. 3 on the tree manual transmission shifts great. New clutch was put in that last 4 years, and its shifts great. Depending on the shift speed, shifting from 2 to 3 sometimes grinds. The Vehicle had the Mechanical Fuel pump replaced for a electric fuel pump. The wiper blades were vacuum controlled by the mechanical fuel pump, so that is not working at the moment. The brake lights are not working at the moment as the master cylinder has been replaced. This new master cylinder does not have the 'brake light switch' built in with the pressure of the brake fluid. The brake light system will need to have a new brake switch hooked up to power and then to the tail lights. I am in the process of getting this done, as I just purchased a brake switch. ASSUME THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING IN CASE I DON'T GET TO FINISH IT, but I can include the brake switch if you want it. Tire tread is like new, but they are old and should be replaced if you plan to HWY drive it. I have taken it on the I-5 on a 50 mile run and it drives straight and smooth on these tires going over 70mph. I average around 60mph to be safe. This Rambler has a great braking system, they are drums, but they stop better than my old VW Classic Beetle with disc brakes. AMC had a special brake system designed for safety. It brakes straight. Gas gauge and temp gauge on dash not working, after market gauges work (no fuel gauge though). I get gas every 150 miles or so. Radio is not connected, but I did test the power/light, it works. Not sure if the actual radio will work. I don't think there are speakers in this car. Please check all photos and ask questions. Great Car!This is a old 1962 vehicle. It has 1962 type technology in it. Don't assume things work. ASK FIRST. As it is written. THIS CAR CAN BE DRIVEN DAILY AS IS. I WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO DRIVE IT DAILY AS IS. It starts well and does not over-heat, it stops well, and the steering and suspension are all working great.I am only selling because I decided to go back to VW Classic bugs, and I have already made a purchase on one. I AM NOT IN A RUSH TO SELL. Have fun buying your next Garage Toy!Please see below for more pictures of the 1962 AMC Rambler Classic Deluxe . We can assist with transport, but understand this is a buyer fee, not a seller fee. I recommend Uship for the best rates. Give it a couple days, the rates for shipping become more competitive and the rates become cheaper for you. I have a broker that I deal with that usually gets it a couple hundred cheaper than Uship if you would like to go through me and my broker.
