Chevrolet 210 Sedan with no rust or rot. This is a very clean California car that I bought about four years ago and have not had the free time to enjoy. You will have a hard time finding an original 65 year old car in this condition in the north east. It runs well with no smoke. A lot of work has been done to this car by the previous owner and I just had the transmission professionally rebuilt and installed because it was slipping when I bought it. I also had a new exhaust installed while it was in the shop. A new water pump was just installed and I have a transmission cooler here that needs to be installed because the factory transmission cooler was bypassed when installing the new water pump because they are no longer available. There are just a couple of things that still need to be completed to start enjoying this one. The battery does not want to hold a charge. It may just be the battery but I am guessing that it is the generator or voltage regulator. Either way it should be an easy fix because there are very few parts that can fail with these 6v electrical systems. It needs an alignment because the last owner installed new tie rods and bushings in most locations and it hasn't been aligned or driven on the road since that time. There is a little play in the steering but not too bad I have a replacement column and gear box that goes with the car if you wish to change that out. |
