About this vehicleThis 1970 Mustang convertible, rare Medium Chestnut Metallic paint with Ginger interior (one of 34 produced). Everything mechanical has been rebuilt/restored. Rebuilt 302 (bored and stroked to 331 cubic inches), overdrive trans, disc brakes, power steering, power top.Seller's NotesThis is a very rare paint/interior combination, only 34 convertibles were built in this configuration. Everything mechanical has been rebuilt on this Mustang. The engine compartment and underside were stripped to bare metal and painted base coat/clear coat. The 331 stroker gives it quite a bit of power, but it is very driveable and idles at 800 rpm. The overdrive is great on the highway and it revs at 2100rpm at 70 mph. I have a huge pile of receipts for all the work that has been done as well as engine specs and part numbers. It needs a little bodywork, paint and a top. I'm happy sending any additional photos, or videos of the car starting, running, driving, etc.ExteriorUnderside is immaculate. Has some rust in lower rear quarters (see pics). Driver’s side could use lower quarter patch panel, outer wheelhouse patch and trunk floor drop off. Passenger side had rust above wheel well, patched with fiberglass (recommend replacing quarter panel when it gets painted). could use outer wheelhouse and trunk floor drop off. Frame rails, floors, torque boxes all very clean. The trunk lid had a luggage rack that I removed so there are four small holes where it was mounted, I do have a very nice trunk lid that I bought planning to install when I had it painted, I will include it. Suspension completely rebuilt with Moog parts. Power brakes completely rebuilt with new hard and soft lines, booster, master cylinder, calipers, etc. New fuel tank, lines, etc. Borgeson power steering conversion. I have the spare tire, jack and lug wrench, I took them out of the trunk for pics. I added a factory hood scoop and the turn signals work. The stainless windshield trim has been polished and is in great condition. The chrome trim around the convertible top well isn't pitted and in great condition as well. InteriorSeats reupholstered, new dash pad and door panels. lower dash powder coated. Vintage Air AC. The power top work great. Has a Retrosound stereo with Bluetooth, speakers hidden in the kick panels and a removable speaker box for the rear.Engine331 stroker (roller block). Scat rotating assembly, Ed Curtis custom cam, rebuilt GT40 heads with roller rockers, Edelbrock intake with Summit 600 carb, Hedman shorty headers (ceramic coated). Engine block, heads, intake, oil pan, valve covers and front cover all powder coated. Aluminized 2.25" exhaust with Dynomax mufflers give it great exhaust note with the classic muscle car sound. The engine made 351hp/375 ft lbs @ 5500 on the dyno (I have the dyno sheet). It was still pulling hard at 5500 rpm and the shop thought it would've hit 375-400hp if I ran it to 6,000 rpm, but I'm a bit conservative. Rebuilt AOD trans with A servo and shift kit. Rebuilt 8” with 3.50 open gears, housing powder coated. Original 302 and C4 go with the car.Deposits are nonrefundable.Created on the eBay Motors app |
