Originally restored by Kevin Jeannette of Gunnar Racing. This Porsche 1966 911S is a beauty finished in "Polo Red", it has withstood the test of time and has an awesome racing history to go along with it. The front fenders, rear bumper, and hood are all amber fiberglass. The wheels original are original 7" magnesium torque thrust. The vintage race car also has a roll bar in it, as well as a 15-gallon fuel cell. The original sport seats from 1966 are in the driver and passenger side, featuring a 6-point seat belt harness. The power is from a 2.0 liter Marelli Twin Plug distributor. It features factory racing cylinder heads and has a 10:1 compression 906 fan shroud and engine shroud. The racing cams are non-center lube and the transmission is a close ratio Lime Rock gearbox limited slip. The future owner of this vintage race car will also own the SVRA Logbook. The car has a well-documented racing history, racing at Lime Rock HSR, Lime Rock Vintage Festival, Watkins Glenn Zippo Grand Prix, Summit Point Jefferson 500, HSR-Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Laguna Seca, and the overall winner of the Club Sport Challenge 2001 and the first Rennsport Reunion. Most recently the headliner was replaced. |
