ONE OF A KINDThe Checker Cab company, for 3 years 66, 67, 68...sent their parts to England where they were assembled on train box car frames. This gave it the extra length and strength to add 2 additional doors, and seats, to the Standard Checker cab.only 5000 were built each year for those 3 years, and it is a factory built vehicle. Some made it back to the states to NY City, but they could not make the tight turns and would get stuck on curbs. So most ended up in personal; collections. This particular one was owned by one of the best county song writers of all time. His hits include 'Cab Driver' and 'Something Stupid" as platinum singles.Carson Parks name, song titles and record label are on the vehicle and the custom keyboard graphics. He and his band literally drove this from honkytonk to dive bars on Nashville's Broadway playing the music he wrote. They would load the gear in the back (built originally for luggage) and would use THIS vehicle to play their gigs back in the 60s.A true Nashville Treasure that needs to be on the streets of Nashville, taking visitors to and from the airport, up and down Broadway, bachelorette parties etc. A HUGE money making opportunity for an established limo or Special Events companyThis vehicle starts on the first turn, runs fantastic, PS, 2 ACs, all gauges work.it needs; new roof, carpet, TLCPlease contact for serious inquiries |
