This is a 1972 Chevy Blazer. It's in need of a restoration, but well worth the trouble, and a great candidate to start with. Many options include tilt steering, and air conditioning, so this is an ac cab with side vents, as well as the center vent. The dash around the radio is original and not cut up. This is a special ordered black on black (see SPID on the underside of the glove box), with the original weave type interior. Obviously, both the top and the body have been painted white, but the color black is present in many areas, as well as under the white on the top. This a project vehicle and is not currently running. The motor has been replaced with a 454 motor and a Turbo 400 transmission. The previous owner estimates 60k miles on the motor, but it hasn't ran in several years. The Blazer has the standard rust problems in the rockers, in the footwell of the drivers and passenger side of the vehicle, and on the bottom of both doors. Those that know these vehicles know that this is an easy repair. The torsion boxes (behind the lower rockers), have been removed and should be replaced. Especially important when taking the top off. The important areas, wheel wells, windshield surround, rain gutter, "A" pillar posts, entire bed area, step up from front seat area, and most of the floor pan are in very good condition. The rear section around the tailgate area is also in good condition. The inner wheel wells are in pretty good condition with the exception of the front inner fender wells. The previous owner cut out the bottom of the sections to provide clearance for oversized tires. Both bumpers and well as the front grill, and the tailgate are in nearly perfect condition. The top (single wall), is very good, as well as the liftgate itself. Most of the interior is missing, but the two front (original), bucket seats are present and need to be reconditioned. The windshield glass is good and serviceable, as well as the rest of the glass in the vehicle. All look to be in serviceable condition. The stainless trim around the windshield is very good. Most all large body panels, as well as the hood are in very good condition. The frame appears solid and does not exhibit any rust holes through it. Previous tires had a date code dating them at over 18 years old. This is a reflection of how long this vehicle has been sitting. I do have a pink slip (California) title to the vehicle, and it is in my name. The VIN is correct, as well as the license plate numbers. Again, this is a great candidate for a restoration with minimal rust repairs necessary. The winning bidder will be responsible for 100% of the transportation cost. I will assist with getting the vehicle to a designated location (within 30 miles), to meet the transport truck.Payment: The winning bidder will place a $500.00 dollar non-refundable deposit into my Paypal account within 24 hours at the close of auction. If this step is not completed, I will move to offer the Blazer to the "runner up" bidder. The balance of the payment will be paid in cash while picking up the vehicle, or through a wire from your bank to mine. This step must be completed within 7 days at the close of the auction. Otherwise the Blazer will be offered up to one of the other bidders for the same sale price. I can keep and store the truck for a reasonable amount of time (after payment is complete), while the winning bidder attempts to find a way for transport. |
