FOR SALE - "DOMINO" Cuda 1971 Cuda, 340, 4spd, factory 2 tag car: (TX9) Black Velvet (H6XW) white interior, (V1X) Black vinyl top, (V6W) white billboards, (N96) shaker, (A67/J68) window louvers, (A62) rally dash, power steering, manual brakes, 3:55 sure-grip, rim blow wheel, etc. Aside from the spoilers, all the options you see on the car are on the tag/sheet. Feature car for the Nov 1994 Mopar Collectors Guide magazine. I purchased the car in 2012 from a FLA collector, who bought it from Les Heissprman in NJ in the early 2000's. According to the MCH article, "Domino" was ordered new by McCune Motors in National City CA. The dealership apparently ordered the high-optioned Cuda to draw attention to the show room floor. The car was sold new to a local man that used the car as a daily driver for years. He then sold the car to his brother, who subsequently moved to Midland TX, where the remained throughout the 80's and into the 90's. It traded hands one more time, before Les from NJ discovered, bought and restored the car. So, this car spent the majority of its life in a warm, dry climate, thus preserving the original sheet metal and the overall integrity of the car. When i purchased the Cuda, it had a crate Hemi in it. The car lost it's original drive-train sometime in the 90's and I have no idea where it is. I dropped in a correct, factory T/A stamped 340-6pk motor and a Passon tranny (with appx $20k invested in the drive-train itself). The motor was stroked, professionally built (bullet proof) and runs AWESOME! With this high-winding small block and Passon tranny, you can literally cruise above 100 mph all day and she will barely even sweat and NEVER gets hot... even in this South Texas heat. I also added the Hodgkiss suspension system, so the car handles like it is on rails! It truly is one of the best driving Mopars i've ever owned! You could literally fly in to Austin, buy the car and drive it home, regardless of where that is... for real!! Other than the NOM, the car retains most all of it's original sheet metal, body numbers, original fender tag and an original build sheet(which is a bit faded, but mostly legible). I've been tracking, chasing, collecting, buying and selling Mopars since the late 80's and this is one of the coolest ones i've ever had the privilege of owning. Not only does it have the WOW factor, you'll have a tough time finding a sweeter running and driving Cuda ;-) Pull up at a car show in this Cuda and you will STEAL all the attention away from all the big dog 440-6pk and Hemi E-body's... trust me! ;-) Now's your chance to own Domino! Good luck finding another Cuda like this... when it's Gone, it's GONE!! **Open to tr@ding this car UP for a correct, '69 or '70 Hemi Charger, or '70 V-code Cuda convert. Car can be seen and driven in Austin TX. Call with any questions: 512-348-0011 email: |
