Stock #: 3709-DFW Exterior Color: Red Interior Color: Black Body Type: Hardtop Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Drivetrain: RWD Engine: 496 V8 Title Condition: Clear This is the right way to build a pro-touring F-body. Take one gorgeous 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, and cover it with gorgeous red paint and a pair of silver hockey stripes. Add a strong-running 496 V8, a Tremec 5-speed gearbox, and a pavement-hugging performance suspension. Finish with a tasteful, upgraded interior that keeps the spirit of what was great about the original design but adds a splash of modern tech. And with only 896 miles on the build, this car totally nails it. The bright red paint is the first thing that grabs you about this car, but it isn't the only thing that's impressive. It's very nicely done and shows the result of many hours of labor-intensive ministrations with a deep shine and excellent finish work for a distortion-free surface. On brightly colored cars, gaps are important, and they're excellent here, and the silver hockey stripes and cowl hood are a nice alternative to the usual look. Regardless of whether it's a real SS or Z/28, all the desirable performance details are there, from the painted front bumper and blacked-out grille up front to the custom LED taillights and fresh chrome bumper out back, so it's got a great performance look, and electric RS hide-away headlights are always welcome. The performance look is enhanced further by the oversized wheels and aggressive stance, and with new brightwork and weather stripping all-around, anyone can immediately tell that this was a serious build. Man, this is a very impressive Camaro. Inside, the black interior has been given a fairly comprehensive makeover, starting with a set of custom leather high-back buckets seats. There's also a matching console that was created just for this car, and it extends into the backseat area and houses the shifter for the Tremec 5-speed manual below. Against the bright red paint it really works well, but there's nothing in there that looks out of place. Everything's new, of course, and they spent the long dollar on the best parts money could buy. Auto Meter gauges live in a custom dash cluster that looks almost OEM the way it fits into the stock instrument panel and a custom steering wheel that feels great in your hands sits atop an aftermarket tilt column. The shifter now manages a Tremec TKO 600 and the stereo has been upgraded to a Sony AM/FM/CD/AUX head unit that powers speakers throughout the interior. The rear seat has probably never been used, the door panels are custom and fit the theme of the interior perfectly, the carpets are plush, and the headliner is taut. Quite simply, everything was addressed inside and everything is fresh. Even the trunk is beautifully finished with matching black carpets, and has plenty room for all the trophies this Camaro will earn. Under the hood, the stout 496 cubic inch Stroker V8 is built for combat inside and dressed for show on the outside, featuring a shiny red block with finned valve covers and a matching cleaner, a polished Edelbrock aluminum intake and chromed and polished accessories everywhere you look, all up against the red canvas of the detailed inner fenders and shaved firewall. Aluminum heads, a big Holley carburetor, an HEI ignition, and a Mishimoto aluminum radiator up front all add up to a very impressive powerplant that can slug it out in the streets or take it easy on the weekends. And with just a few hundred shake-down miles, it's still very fresh and pulls the Camaro around like it suddenly lost 1000 pounds. Of course, the Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission makes a huge impact on the car's roadability, with a towering overdrive that lets that big block just loaf along at highway speeds. Underneath, it's finished for show and ready for combat with a custom tubular front and rear suspension featuring coilovers all-around, a Heidts front cross member, a 4-link for the Ford 9-inch rear end, and power rack-and-pinion steering and Wilwood power 4-wheel disc brakes that make driving this '69 an absolute dream. All that tech is neatly hidden behind a set of slick 18-inch Rocket wheels, which carry staggered 225/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear performance radials that fill the fenders perfectly and set the aggressive stance. This car is the right combination of style, substance, and performance, making it one of the most appealing early Camaros we've seen in a while. Call today!
