| 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300 SD238,564 Miles ActualLight Gray Exterior/ Navy Blue InteriorThis is a 1979 Turbo Diesel Mercedes-Benz 300 SD. We are the third owners and the car was always in the WNC area. It has a solid very good motor and transmission and a fair to good body. The turbo was rebuilt and works great, it is dependable, W116 classic engine, strong heat, clean title. It needs a back seat, A/C needs recharging, radio does not work, has some rust spots (especially under back seat area; see photos), leaks a little oil, back window regulators are in need of replacing (they go down but need help going up), the windshield seal will need redoing (see photo), wipers need lubrication small hole in tail light lens (just needs the lens cover/reflector; see photo), back window has a spot of "fogging" (see very last photo) that is a bit common in these older Mercedes. See photos for details. Overall, a great "tank" of a vehicle that is reliable, very driveable, but needs some TLC. Due to adding another vehicle to our family, we are letting this one go.
