1977 Pontiac Trans Am “Year One” Replica. Born black on black (PHS documentation see the photos). Over 11,000 miles since the engine swap (I have owned it for 6 years and put over 10,000 miles on it). Driver quality paint (see photos and video). The car was built to do extended road trips like the Hot Rod Power Tour and the Bandit Run (25MPG on the interstate). The factory gauges and clock to the AC and heater all works. Power steering, brakes (4 wheel disc, upgraded not an option in 1977). $11,000 in receipts (in a binder) spent on the car during my ownership (this is after the LS swap was completed).Engine/Transmission:LS1 from a low mileage 2001 Trans Am (which means it is an aluminum block). Transmission was replaced 3 years ago with a crate 4l65E from GM (street and strip, 2200 RPM stall). Texas Speed MS3 roller cam kit with matching push rods and valve springs. Texas speed LS6 ported oil pump and LS2 timing chain. Pacesetter long tube headers. Engine was refreshed and all new gaskets installed. Tuning was around 405HP at the wheels (I have no dyno sheets, this is what I was told from the previous owner; the previous owner was in Oklahoma City and I was told Big Chief from Street Outlaws did the tune on the car). Custom fuse block is mounted on the firewall. Transmission cooler in front of the AC condenser. Custom built and balanced driveshaft. 3.73 limit slip gears. Upgraded larger sway bars, Flowmaster 40 exhaust with crossover. Duel fans fans (from the donor car) once fan turns on based on engine temp and the other is trigger by a manual switch. AC compressor replace 3 years ago, battery 3 years old, upper and lower radiator hoses replaced 3 years ago. Air pump and new booster installed 4 years ago to help with power brakes. MAF and temp sensor in the air intake. Two O2 sensors in the exhaust the other 2 are programmed off. Added under hood insulation 5 yrs ago.Exterior:Custom LED tail-lights. Fender flares are BRE (Burt Reynolds Edition) from Year One. New fuel tank with drop in fuel pump. Year One 17” rims. Front springs built for F-body cars with LS engine (from http://www.pro-touringf-body.com/ ). Larger sway bars, shocks are 6 years old. Paint is a 7 out of 10 (see video and photos; small cracks in bumpers, some paint defects, one panel fit issue). In the Spring of 2019 the car received a multi-stage buff and 2 coats of ceramic coating.Interior:Has a complete new interior including seats covers, dash, headliner and carpet. The drivers front floor pan was cut out and replaced with a replacement from Year One. Floor boards and inside of the doors have Killmat installed. The rear floor pans, axle housing area and trunk are original and rust free. Passenger window motor and wiper motor and window switch was replaced 5 years. Floor pans coated, see photos for before and after (6yrs ago). Rear tires 3 years old (~3000 miles on them). Retro Sounds Radio. 8 Track present but not hooked up (per the PHS it came with the it). Replace under dash AC box 1 year ago.Items that don't work: Sub woofer, 8 track, no wiper fluid reservoir, to open the glove box you have to use the key.Link to Photos:Walk around video:Rolling Launch:I have driven this car up to 1000 miles in a week on parts of the Hot Rod Power Tour and the Bandit Run. Again, this is a driver quality car, not a 100k show car. Small cracks in the bumpers, and some paint defectsLink to start up:I do not need help selling. The car is being sold as is, with no warranties (it is a 40 plus year old car). |
