This car was built new in 2008 by Panoz for Equus Automotive as a prototype and test mule for a vintage Mustang concept in a modern automobile package. It was all new construction utilizing a Dynacorn reproduction body, Panoz chassis, and new 2008 GT500 drivetrain with huge Brembo brakes(6 Speed Tremec Manual and 500hp Supercharged 5.4). The interior is stock 2008 Mustang. Heat, AC, cruise control, radio, and power features are modern Mustang as well. The wheelbase is altered from a stock 67, thus the big flares to disguise the wheel arches.Motor sits behind the front axle. Exceptional driving and handling.Approximately 4200 miles from new. 1 of 1, no other cars were built. Arizona title as a 1966 Ford with body style shown as 2DSD and First Registered Date of06/1966. Not a restomod, but a modern car with a vintage body. Because this is essentially a stock 2008 GT500 Mustang it has OBD2 support, catalytic converters,and mufflers.
