CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1967 Camaro Convertible with modern LS based drivetrain/6 speed automatic. Car has an L76/6L80E motor and trans from a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT (with 110K miles). Displacement on demand has been electronically disabled (who drives something like this on only 4 cylinders). Dakota Digital dash, power convertible top, deluxe interior, power brakes, power windows, power steering, C6 Corvette shifter, long tube headers, Magnaflow exhaust, new drivetrain wiring. Factory front disc/rear drum brakes, new rear leaf springs, 10 bolt posi rear, electric radiator fans with new radiator and fuel system (part of LS swap), new carpet with sound deadener underneath, Secret Audio modern radio with bluetooth. Not a race car, but a spectacular, dependable cruiser I built for my wife. Will always start and drive like a new car. Multiple car show winner. The heater box for the car has been removed to make room to mount the engine ECU and modern fuse box on the firewall under the dash where the heater box would go. I will include the heater box with the car (in the trunk). The car isn't driven in the cold so there was no need. In the summer, there was never any A/C in the car to begin with. Come on! It's a convertible! :)Also, in case you didn't notice in the photos, there is a custom center console. The trim piece around the shifter also came from a C6 Corvette and the PRND lights will light up when the car is on. The 6L80E is able to manually shifted through tip shift which I had set up with an old (ugly) shifter, but the C6 shifter is not set up for this. The wiring is still under the console though if you want to figure out a way to use it. It was just more annoying to the wife than it was worth though.I bought the car 3 years ago from a classic car dealer with a SBC and TH350 in it. The paint and body work was done before we got the car and does have some issues that I try to show in the last 4 pictures. There are two scratches on the passenger door (filled in with touch up paint) and there is some checking in the paint above the passenger rear wheel well that I tried to show in the picture. There are also some typical chips that have been touched up, wet sanded and polished. I would call it a 3 foot looker. In other words, you can't see any of the flaws at 3 feet away, but as you get closer, you can see some the chip touch-ups. I probably exaggerating the severity of the issues, but I don't want someone thinking they are getting a Super Chevy best in show car here at this price. Also, the car is badged as an LS3 (as shown in pictures). That's because the L76 looks identical to the LS3. The L76 is actually an LS2 (6.0L) bottom end with the LS3 heads and intake and displacement of demand. The L76 came in Australian cars and the American Pontiac G8. The tune in the car is very tame. Not much changed from stock besides speedometer, disabling the displacement on demand (which isn't wired up either), and moving some shift points to make a better feel with the gearing. All the torque management and timing is stock for the G8 as I didn't want to over shock the 10 bolt rear end. Besides, it's the wife's cruiser and not my Cuda. Please note that my HP Tuners does NOT come with the car. I am using it on other cars as well and will be keeping my setup. The car is ready to take out for the spring car shows once any current travel restrictions are lifted and the pictures were taken this week (April 6th). I have several videos of the car I can send if you would like. I just need an e-mail address to send them to as ebay won't allow me to send videos via their messaging system. I am NOT interested in trades. Selling the car because it's finally time to buy a home on a lake. The reserve is very low, so don't bid if you don't intend to pay. I already had someone "win" the car once and never pay.The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs and I can store the car until any travel restriction that may affect transport are lifted. If you use the buy it now option, I will pay for open carrier shipping within the continental US. I encourage you to ask as many questions and take a look at the videos. The videos do the car much more justice and I can take more pics of the car. I will be totally up front with you with anything to do with the car unlike many dealerships and other sellers of classic cars.
